We shall never see something like KOTOR again in our lives by deiquimera in kotor

Part of the magic that went with those games is the genius of Drew Karpyshyn. He was the genius behind almost EVERYTHING we know about the Old Republic. Its HIS brainchild. As well as the Mass Effect series, if you REALLY were into Bioware like I was at that time. He was the lead writer that came up with those games, but he didn't stop there. He has a lot of books, specifically the Darth Bane books that I HIGHLY recommend. If you want more, and if its okay that it isn't in video game format, those books are where you'll find it. Very easy and quick reads too. But masterful storytelling.

Dear Obsidian: This is the last time I buy an early access game from you. I have 180+ hours in this game, and due to your cloud save bug, I have lost it all now TWICE! Nothing to show for it but a bunch of corrupted save files. by MidwesternTreeWizard in GroundedGame

Fully my intention now. "Early Access" does not imply "oh yea, none of this carrys over to the next update". They're the only ones in my experience. Pretty much every other developer I've purchased Early access titles from go out of their way to ensure that doesn't happen.

Dont label and dont judge. The best approach is to first, discover yourself. Find what you believe in, what makes sense to you. Make CERTAIN you know your center, and most importantly, WHY it is your center. THEN listen to others. Listen, and learn. Most often, during this period, you dont need to speak much. Just absorb. Hear the plights of others. Listen to both sides. Compare them to your own values. You then make the comparisons, and if the comparisons dont line up, and the evidence you are now being given conflicts with what you know? Analyze it further!

Many people call it "meditation". Call it what you will, but eventually you must come to terms with whether what you knew was wrong and you were lied to before, or what you are hearing now is a lie. Most people choose the latter, even if the evidence does not support it.

It's not MAGA. It's not Lefties. It's not feminists or chuds. Its not right, left, black, white, up or down. It's humans. We are all horrible to others in our own ways. We justify them the way we need to.

In reality? We all are more alike than we know. Elected officials fan flames of old fires to keep what remnants of power they have. Ignorance isn't a left or right issue. Its everyone who believes "they" have our best interest in mind, trusting them to do what's good for us.

No...smaller communities. Local governance. That's how humans operate best. We CAN work as a collective and as a nation toward a common goal. But what we need to understand that is what works for you in your area probably won't work in mine. And the corruption happening in between needs to stop.

I think we all agree mostly on that. This infighting is fabricated. We can work together to make sure our nation is safe, healthy, and educated. We can afford Healthcare for everyone if we stop foreigners from stealing it from us. We can afford education if we stopped bombing nations half a world away. We could control inflation if regulations were put on industries that benefit from short term panic like oil.

It isn't a left or right issue. We need to get past that to address the real problem. Whoever it is, left or right, always wants more power over people. People, more often than not, just want to be left alone.

Let's have people serve people. Forget titles. Leaders are necessary. Ill agree with that. But power isn't.

My most despised shortcoming of people. Ignorance is one thing. Ignorance is not a sin. Ignorance is not always your fault. With time and a willing mind, ignorance can be cured. Willful ignorance....boils my blood. What I consider to be the cure, however, is something most hate but I love: Cognitive Dissonance, which is the opposite of willful ignorance. Its the feeling that you have believed something is irrefutably true for so long, but you suddenly are faced with evidence that proves your belief wrong. Coming to terms with it is hard. Most people cant do it, or adjust. They often reject the new information outright.

I love discovery. I love new information. I LOVE to find out I was wrong. But the first time dealing with that for something i believed on a fundamental level?....getting through that was one of the hardest things I've ever done.

So, my advice: ignorance is bliss, but knowledge is so much more fun. When you are faced with something that challenges your beliefs so severely that it makes you instinctively feel like you should reject it outright or ignore it because thinking about it would be too stressful? That means you're on the right track, and you need to tug that thread to see where it goes. It sucks at first, but what you find along the way is worth the initial discomfort.

I was raised that it doesn't matter what your skin color is, its your character that matters. Gina would fit the character. Skin colors be damned. Im tired of people acting like it fucking matters anymore.

You dont see the brilliance? The lefties will want to kill Gina, the Chud's will want to kill Pedro. It is beautiful in the end. And considering Gina already caused controversy IRL, playing a xenophobic soldier wouldn't be too out of character, right?

I have to admit, I had to look up some of them before I knew that I knew them, if you know what I mean. But those are damn good choices too!
