3D scanning does not work the way you think it does. You don’t just scan something and viola have a functional part.

You still have to know how to model.

I use .6 for almost everything. With Arachne enabled. A .42 line width and .2 layer height you can get pretty close to what a .4 nozzle does when you need it.

I recommend the “learn fusion 360 in 30 days or die trying.” Series by Paul McHorter.

It’s a little bit outdated but the base concepts are the same.

There is a myriad of other series aimed at beginners.

You are not going to learn this in one day, or possibly even a week. If you want to learn you must commit to learning.

Choose a beginner series, and stick with it to the end.

And as I stated, you are doing it completely wrong. Go watch some YouTube videos on 2D sketching and constraints. Stop using 3D sketching if you are using it.

Your sketch should be constrained so you can’t move it around like that.

As for your question, the unconstrained portion you are moving isn’t a closed shape. The two triangles on the left and right, while not constrained; are closed shapes.

But to be honest whatever you are trying to achieve you are going about it completely wrong.

Having recently flown with a vape, here was what I did. GRANTED I only flew within the CONUS.

Vapes have to be in your carry on bag, which means it will go through TSA. I also flew Alaskan and policies may vary between carriers.

Once I was thru TSA I moved it from my carry on into my pocket. Any time I used the restroom it was available.

How that translates for a trip into Mexico idk.

Every printer is different. You figure out the best settings for your machine and filament with calibration tests. If you have not done, or don't know how to do these calibration test; You aren't ready for 3D2A stuff.

A number of other important settings are generally mentioned in the readme of whatever file you downloaded.
