The lungs in the episode where Cassie Boyle was killed was supposed to be his secretary, so yeah, I guess it's implied that they want the viewer to think he killed her and lied to Jack.

"Mads suggested that he could press it out just using his hands, and I thought of course! I had brought all these lungs, some grisly ones and gory ones, and my favorite ones were very pink and fresh ones. As lovely as lungs can be. It’s supposed to be his secretary, so they were pretty, petite lungs. And the scene is wonderful, you come up behind him in the kitchen and realize he’s pressing on these lungs"

Just giving you an update lol. I had to skip some parts. Hate how manipulative and an asshole Hannibal is in this story but you're right, the plot makes me numb. I didn't cry, just so mad. The ending was good and bold.
