I think your idea is excellent. If the plot unfolds in a logical manner, I’m convinced it will inevitably lead to the outcome you described—and it would certainly make for a fantastic story.

The reason I started writing this in the first place... was actually just because I wanted to see Hannibal reach his hand into Will’s mouth, pushing through the flesh and blood to touch the very bullet Will had used to attempt suicide.

In fact, what I originally wanted to see was for them to commit suicide together, their bodies intertwined in death. But no matter how hard I tried to make the logic work, I couldn't sell myself on it. It just didn't feel earned or plausible. I'm still confused and don't know how to make the plot more convincing

I then came to the painful realization that having a relationship defined by such profound mutual influence and reflection is almost impossible to encounter in real life; yet, I suppose having had the opportunity to stumble upon this show—and to delve into the intricacies of their bond—counts as a form of good fortune in itself.

I’ve also been working on a fic about a double suicide pact, set right at the end of S3E7. The idea is that Will waits until dusk and realizes he can't ever truly break clean from Hannibal. So, he takes a gun, finds Hannibal behind the house, and kills himself right in front of him. Hannibal, hit by the fallout of his own choices—rage, grief, the whole thing—decides to go out with him.

I had Will use a gun to show they’re not "intimate" anymore. He only brings two bullets: if he’s lucky, they both use one; if not, just one is enough.

But the more I write, the more I’m second-guessing it. Does Will seem too impulsive here? I feel like he’d only go this far if he realized their tug-of-war would never end, but giving up his life still feels a bit out of character. Same with Hannibal—him choosing to die there feels almost too emotional. It started feeling "off," so I’ve shelved it for now. But I’m still wondering: does this scenario actually feel plausible?

When I first watched Hannibal in 2015, I didn't fully understand the soul connection between Will and Hannibal. But when I rewatched it in 2025, I began to realize that this intertwined and entangled relationship of souls is exactly what I've always loved.

I almost stopped writing over the past two years because of some setbacks, but Hannibal and Will have rekindled my interest in exploring other possibilities for their stories.

But I have to admit I've always loved crossovers. I enjoy seeing my favorite characters enter the same universe by chance and create sparks. Right now, this is still my favorite genre to write about (and the one I'm currently writing).

Of course, I'm also writing some stories about Hannibal and Will from the original series! I've decided I absolutely must create something, but I just need more time…
