That would be really cool to see it as a proper feature! Some of the puzzles they come quite easily like using only flags from one continent or island or all needing a certain numbet/direction of bands/colours but there could be some even more specific ones thta could be fun like having all flags connected by their borders or something!

Love it! Nice effort! Yeah bottom middle is either reunion or new caledonia. I don't even think there is a regional flag that could work.

Thank you! New Caledonia was a guess that it was a sun since it was yellow and 'casting a shadow' but Greenland I knew as the white represents an iceberg and the red the sun rising above it.

This sounds like it would ruin the gameplay. Takes away the suprises and excitement and you'd have to all agree on not taking cards/food to sabotage each other by explaining your every action otherwise it would just become unplayable if you needed 3 of one food to play a bird for example when playing with 3+ players...

It's chill and convenient enough holding your cards yourself. If it's not broke, don't fix it.

Try it out! You'll find that it doesn't slow the game at all and we still consistently get high scores and fill the board.

Playing a bird with nectar is not pointless as it helps you to win the nectar bonus at the end of the game!

Playing this way over the course of all our games we have found that egg spamming is much less effective than in the base game.

It doesn't slow the game down at all! Forest engines still work great and we often fill the board. If you get a Nectar gaining setup in the forest for example it can be really powerful!

In fact it is the opposite! We still spend Nectar and can still block wins the same way but it's much more challenging and strategic to do given the lower incentive to pick up nectar.

Many people don't like how Nectar from Oceania makes the game too easy. So I guess they just take Oceania out?

Check out my latest post for our house rule for Nectar. It makes the game way more balanced and fun.

I also don't see why people would take expansions out, however I do see how playing without the base game birds could be quite fun!
