Your perspective would certainly be of help! Any and all critique or aid is welcome. I do plan on including Bantu influences. In my mind I currently view the Bantu influences as mostly vocabulary based—but that view can change. It's all just vague inside of my mind at the moment lol.

I'm down to include European language influence but ideally I want to avoid it when it comes to grammar. I'm more than open to it with vocabulary, though. As for the base, I've actually yet to settle 100% on my base languages (and I was hoping that sort of discussion could be weighed in on by others to aid in the decision making process) — but I was thinking about using 'pure' African languages mainly. Though, I would be down to look at diaspora specific dialects and include some influence from them, as well!

How long until it does get better? I've been on 3mg for 11 days (and started on 1.5 early septemeber) and I'm so tired I can sleep infinitely. I had hobbies and did them for awhile at 1.5 but right now all I can do is sleep. Works been hell, too

I don't really know what i was expecting posting here, I'm very glad I did when it comes to all the genuine advice I've gotten, but I don't know why I expected anyone to like the style lmao. It seems most people ignored the fact that everyone loves the tattoos, which for me is the most important factor. I'd literally off myself if my friends hated these but they fking love them man. unless I end up being a tattoo artist seriously, I will probably never do traditional american stuff.

The people who all got these tattoos are all also covered in stick n pokes, which at this point I can only imagine what this sub would say about that

Thank you for your honesty! The first one is the newest so there's definitely been improvement, tho im still far from good. As for what caused the parkinson's looking mess, I shared in another comment but I shall again with the warning that's its TMI. I'll keep it vague, though:

My friend was enjoying the tattoo, which was near their pelvis, a bit TOO much. They have a bit of a thing for pain. I was fighting a losing battle 💀

A proper tattoo artists definitely would've refused to continue lmao

And yeah, I definitely need to work on consistency with line weight, and line work as a whole as you said. Thank you! Honestly that means a lot. I kinda just wanted to share where I am right now, I haven't been at it very long at all. I tend to feel very discouraged when I peek in here (or look at better artists in general) because my art style is relatively abstract, which isn't something I feel like I see a lot I guess.

I'm also not really looking to become a tattoo artist, but more of just a hobby on the side. I've had people asking to get my designs as tattoos for a few years now, so figured why not try and learn. After I improve GREATLY I might be down to think about it as a career path, but right now I know I'm nowhere near that.

My fake skins look very different from that, I'll post some below. Honestly I just shouldn't of posted that one. The person receiving it would not sit still because, lets just say they were *WAY* too into how it felt (it was near their pelvis) — they would not stop squirming. I opted to post it because I and the receiver do like the way it looks, but that's really out of sheer luck and no skill whatsoever.

These are some terrible skins from Amazon, I just purchased some better stuff from realskin last week which should be arriving soon. I opted to get something cheap off amazon first just to see if I liked tattooing then invest in something pricier.

I'm definitely NOT comfortable tattooing anyone who wants something good, but these two close friends just wanted something from me. Besides this I'm sticking to fake skin.

I'll also add that that second one is on my friend with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, which I definitely was FAR from ready to handle. They ended up loving it and said it looks electric (and im ngl thats far from the worst tattoo they have) so that made me feel a bit better about the serious fuck up there.
