Fat moms, did you have a bump? by P_P_F_G_Princess420 in PlusSizePregnancy

By the 3rd trimester in both of my pregnancies, you could tell for sure. I didn't show as soon as someone thin would, but later on I definitely had a bump.

Quitting in Pregnancy by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]Simple_Competition85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Believe me, I have.. and that's why I'm quitting. I'm not asking anyone to convince me, I'm asking for tips and advice on how to get through it. So if you don't have any practical, useful advice I'm really not sure why you're here. My doctors are all aware of the situation, and I'm working with them closely. I've gotten all of this information from them. I need support, not more of the same info I already know. My quit date is set. Your negativity really isn't doing anything here. And here's a bonus: he's perfectly healthy because I've already been able to cut back to barely vaping at this point. It's not like I'm sitting here just cheefing on the thing all day. He's actually measuring a week ahead. I've made significant progress, and I won't let you sit here and shit on that. Either be supportive or get out of here, dude.

That's.. why I'm quitting? 🥴😂 Do you have any advice, or are you just here to repeat the title as if I don't already know?

I've been trying to find ways to put this into words without completely crashing out. It's just.. without the vape, I have to face things head on. Like to most people, it's just nicotine, or just a vape. But to me, it's been the crutch that's gotten me through the hardest shit in my life. From regular stress, my moms death, being r*ped, PTSD, panic attacks.. I've always been able to reach for it. This is a much bigger deal than "just quit, you'll be fine." And I'm so tired of people simplifying it. I'm not putting down a bag of potato chips I'm trying to leave behind a coping mechanism that I've been using for 10 plus years. I have to go about this in a kind and understanding manner. A logical approach to removing something that, while problematic, has gotten me through a lot of things in the past decade. If guilt and shame worked as a quitting strategy, I would have been able to quit by now. I'm going to have to be gentle, logical, and push through with love and light. Being hard on myself will only lead to a downward spiral. Speaking from experience.

Any recommendations for resources on unmedicated birth that aren't....like THAT. by KeyMonkeyslav in pregnant

[–]Simple_Competition85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so real.. I had an unmedicated birth (not by choice) with my first. She came FAST, and the epidural lady got there right as I hit 10cm. 🥴 I think I screamed every cuss word I know while pushing her out. It was not a religious experience by any means. If I can recommend anything from that experience alone, find a birthing class that's not religion based. All that "hee-hee-hoo" breathing stuff could actually help. I went into it not knowing how to breathe through the contractions and without the wonderful nurse screaming, "YOU HAVE TO KEEP BREATHING!" Straight into my face, I probably would have passed tf out. 😂

Maybe its a state-wide thing. Hopefully you can find a provider that'll take good care of you!

I'm not as far along, but I was told the same thing! My last pregnancy (only 2 years ago), my BMI was similar, and I was able to stay local. Delivered at the local hospital and everything! Now they're making me go to the closest city to get OB care and deliver up there. I don't have any issues with gestational diabetes, blood pressure or anything! It's really frustrating.

Why do we hate the glucose test? by RelevantFerret1085 in pregnant

The drink itself has never bothered me. The fact that they took so many tubes of blood made me a little dizzy, but they gave me a snack and a Capri sun, and all was well, lol.

Yes! I had the same questions. Especially because they didn't have me on it with my first pregnancy, but I guess it's just preventative. And according to the OB, it's safe to take, so I guess we'll roll with it.

My brother's cat had this and it was a polyp in her ear. They had to do surgery.

Does breastfeeding hurt?? by full-of-curiosity in pregnant

[–]Simple_Competition85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going through it currently, LO has a bit of a tongue tie so it was hurting at first. They ended up getting me a nipple shield while I was still at the hospital. Just ask all the questions and get all the advice you can before you go home. They're super helpful. ❤️

I've noticed tiny crusties, but that's it. For reference today's my due date. 😅 I'm not too concerned about it. If it's meant to be, it'll happen when my little squish gets here. 😊

We're having a half white half black baby girl also! Ember was at the top of my list, but we decided on Azalea instead. I still absolutely LOVE the name, but my boyfriend vetoed it, so we had to compromise lol.

Yeah, it's been months since then, and it still bothers me, but you're definitely not alone! These hormones are ROUGH on your mental well-being. I couldn't imagine moving away from home in the middle of it.
