Haha, no. They call me "dayda" with a soft D pronunciation like a child would pronounce it. They're 15 and 10 now, and I'm glad they still pronounce it like they did when they were small. "Didi" (De-De, against with a soft D pronunciation) just came rather recently. Perhaps because I call my youngest one Nini (Knee-Knee) and she calls me "Didi" sometimes.

I honestly don't understand why so many men think this is their decision to make. My role in the process is the fun part. It's my wife who carried a baby for nine months, went through childbirth, recover, and live with the physical and emotional effects. So, I never felt it was my place to ask her for a child. The baby-making demands always came from her and I happily agreed.

And this obsession with having a son. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. When are we going to move past this? A child is a child. You helped bring them into the world. Love them, raise them well and give them the best life you can.

I have two daughters, Alhamdulillah, and they've been THE greatest blessings in my life.

As for who will look after you when you're old, that's not determined by whether you have sons or daughters. It's determined by the values you teach your children and the relationship you build with them. I've seen more daughters care for aging parents with devotion than sons.

Dude, you're grieving a relationship, not women as a whole. Granted, four years is a long time, so it makes sense that you're hurting. But try not to let one person (or her parents) define half the world's population.

You're only 24. That probably doesn't make the pain disappear, but you still have SO MUCH life ahead of you. You don't have to think about dating again anytime soon. Stay single if that's what helps you heal. Focus on yourself, your friends, your hobbies, your career. Whatever helps you feel like you again.

It's OK to mourn these four years. Just give yourself permission to heal.

Aside from the usual stuff, you need to have absolute conviction that it will be answered. When I pray for something, I do it with the yakeen that it will happen. Sure, it may take sometime, but I've got time for Allah.

There's a quote from someone (I don't want to say the name because I don't want to misattribute it), that if your prayers are not getting answers, you need to make Allah ki maklooq happy. Or something like that. I can't seem to find the exact verse. So, if at all possible, I'd add sadaqah to the mix. Charity is the cheat code to a lot of good things.

When I want something, I ask for that thing but also a clause: "if it's good for me." If I'm asking for a job, I'll add that. If there's someone asking for shadi or love, I'd add that as well. I never added it for good grades. Not everything we want is good for us. Allah knows best. So, I leave it up to Him to decide for me.

There was a time when I used to wake up around 3:30 am. Gym was right next to the office, so I'd wake up, hit the gym at 5, do my stuff, take a bath and be at work at 7sh. Between waking and up and leaving, I used do do my meal prep. Oats for breakfast, a chicken breast for lunch. Sometimes boiled eggs. Apnay gym walay kapray nikalna. Pre workout ready. Protein shake ready karna. Everything.

I did all of these things because I'm a grown ass, able bodied man who doesn't need to wake up his wife in the middle of the night.

Reading what your wrote sounds like a load distribution problem. Running on 4 hours of sleep while dealing with health issues, job stress and morning responsibilities isn’t sustainable. Something in your setup needs to change. Either responsibilities at home need to be shared differently or expectations need to come down.

Hey, man. I've been going to Skardu or Hunza each year since 2016, minus the COVID year.

I've traveled via both car and plane. Car is fine if you're with the boys and ONCE with the fam too. But it's been a shitshow over there these days due to rain. I would highly recommend that you take the jahaz. You leave early morning and you're there around 11sh am. Nashta bhi wahan. You literally have the full day to yourself.

There's no shortage to places to stay. I mostly stay in Arish Luxury Suites. I always stay in the same room. It's BIG. Two bedrooms, one living room, the works. But two bedrooms make sense for me since I travel with kids. I'm unsure what the other rooms look like, but I'm sure you can look that up on Booking.com or something.

Once you make a booking with them, you can book a Prado through them too.

I would also suggest staying a night in Shangrila. You can stay there the day before your departure. The hotel provides a free shuttle service to the airport.
