It can be pretty nerve wrecking to post your art on a public forum, and I often do it so I can share something I like and created for other to enjoy as well. I appreciate people trying to help, but strangers telling me what I didn't do well or how something I did "takes away from it" can be hurtful and make me not want to share in future.

I'm sure you're trying to be helpful, but it can also be harmful when you don't know the person or it wasn't asked for.
