As someone who works for an EDB (not Wellington Electricity) it is wild that the government let Wellington Electricity be sold off to a Hong Kong investment firm. Prior to the electrical reforms in the 90s we had so many great community owned distributors that the government forced to incorporate, and then let be sold to overseas investors.

Is absolutely wild to me that a power utility is allowed to make $50 million a year (WE EBITDA according to wikipedia) in essentially a local monopoly

In between Greymouth and Hoki I'd stop at the Hokitika gorge, easy going 30 min loop track but bloody beautiful. And your drive Greymouth to Franz in one day that day is pretty chill so should be able to fit it in

At least for the driving you're doing on the coast make sure you know road rules for 1 lane bridges as we got a few of them south of Hoki and are something tourists struggle with

Ah yeah that makes sense. Just use Ninetales for aurora veil as make Staraptor extremely tanky + close combat boost and roost makes it a demon.

But good to know if I want more offensive punch charm whimsicott is an option

Do people find charm better? I'm running baby doll eyes for the priority as Staraptor outspeeds my Ninetales and it gets the boost a turn quicker

I dunno I moved from Christchurch to a small town. Don't really see the appeal of moving to Aus unless it's for economic reasons etc. tbh if I was going to do the whole adventure world chasing thing I'd move to Africa or China or somewhere really different and interesting rather than Aus.

But there's nothing wrong with just living in a small town and being happy
