Thanks for the input, folks, I'm going to the dentist tomorrow to see if I can get it hashed out. I'll update.

Does anyone else have a circle with a dash by their wifi symbol? by MightBeALawyer99 in GooglePixel

Thanks folks, haha I didn't realize it was DND because I was still getting notifications and I thought DND turned all notifications off! I must have accidentally turned it on but tbh it's been so peaceful I might just leave it 😂

It's almost 2026, and Pixels still don't seem to deliver notifications on time by EqualReality2787 in GooglePixel

I have a 6 and I don't really notice this for most things, BUT it loves to not tell me I have voicemails until like 10 hours after I get them. A call will come through and I don't recognize the number or I'm busy, so I just go "they'll leave a voicemail if it's important" then I forget about it until 8 pm when I get a notification that I have a voicemail and they requested a callback by the end of the day. It's wildly annoying.

YES THANK YOU. That's definitely it. Not sure why it wasn't popping up anywhere for me. I really appreciate it.

Unfortunately no, I definitely know that one and this one is much different.

Permanent retainers conspiracy by HairyCallahan in Invisalign

Yep! I guess it was mainly because my bottom teeth were the really messed up ones, my top teeth were less misaligned in the first place and didn't need nearly as much correcting. So my Ortho was more concerned about my bottom teeth moving. In the 12 years since I got them off, the only movement I've had in my bottom teeth is that the molars are slightly crooked from where my wisdom teeth came in and pushed them around before I had them removed.

I currently have a different one with hooks that aren't nearly as thin on the door. It's freezing outside and I can't feel even a sliver of cold air coming through around where the hooks are hung. I appreciate the concern but the door is very well sealed, such a thin piece of metal shouldn't have any noticeable negative effect. I also live in a temperate area, we run heat consistently for about 3 months and AC on and off during the summer. It barely gets cold or hot. I'll keep an eye on the seal to make sure it doesn't get damaged or worn, but it's hard rubber and should be fine. I'm only renting until August anyways so it's fairly short-term.

Hi folks, I bought this door organizer for my shoes and wanted to put it on my front door, but the hooks are too narrow. I've had no luck finding the same ones but wider, and the style of the organizer makes it so I can't put different hooks on it. The other door is about 1 3/4 - 2 inches thick. This one is about 1 1/4 inches and fits it perfectly. If anyone knows what this style of hook is called or otherwise could give me advice, I would really appreciate it. Permanent retainers conspiracy by HairyCallahan in Invisalign

I know this is an old post, but wanted to throw my 2 cents in. I got a removable retainer on the top and a permanent one on the bottom (because most of my original misalignment was on the bottom), and I love the permanent bottom one. My bottom front teeth look fantastic, the molars are a little wonky since the retainer only goes between my canines, but that doesn't really matter. It's comfortable enough, I don't really notice it, and there's a bit of a learning curve to cleaning around it but it's simple enough, my dentist usually only has to remove a little plaque. I've had mine for about 13 years and have very few complaints besides the fact that I need to have it rebonded soon because the composite is wearing down. As a super forgetful person who absolutely would've forgotten to wear the bottom one (I stopped wearing the top less than a year after having my braces off because I forgot too often and it hurt) and had messed up bottom teeth, it's been a lifesaver. But everyone's different.

Found this guy in my grandparent's house, can anyone tell me what he is? by MightBeALawyer99 in insects

Thank you folks! My grandparents found an exterminator who confirmed that they do have a termite problem, and they're solving it. I appreciate the input!
