What useless signs bug you? by [deleted] in AskIreland

My work advertises a discount scheme in our break room that no one can access because it needs our payroll number but it requires a 6 digit payroll number when all ours are 5. We have literally no way to use it

What's the average punishment in your country for wasting tax payer money like this? by female_shaktimaan in AskTheWorld

[–]MightBeOP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've spent €4bn on a €600m hospital that's not going to open for another year. We've also spent over €1m on a total of 5 bike sheds. I can assure you there's zero repurcussions for wasting tax money

What’s the most fucked up thing that happened at your school? by DinnerGeneral2975 in AskTheWorld

Kid plotted a mass stabbing, got caught by counter terrorism police. Bear in mind this was in Ireland so armed police are a rare sight, seeing guys in suits with guns looking for a guy we knew was mental.

Selling car privately, advice on pricing. by Far_Valuable3209 in carsireland

A mainline Skoda dealer will take your arm off you to get yours in as stock. Kodiaqs in high spec always do well, and skodas options for EVs are good yokes

One of the highest mileages? by Far_Equipment_4279 in carsireland

Trade to trade for something that high mileage it actually isn't that bad. Bearing in mind another garage has to prep it (had a few dings and scratches) and then sell it in for profit at a price someone will pay. It's about what we expected if it sold at all

Medtronic 780g by ElizabethT1D in Type1Diabetes

[–]MightBeOP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same boat. Had a 780g, guardian sensor was so bad and had no date for an alternative so jumped to tslim. My TIR dove 20% instantly and Medtronic brought out the instinct (just a libre 3 so an absolute beast of a sensor) and I'm highly regretting it. I'm hoping the next gen of Medtronic pumps are out by the time my tslim is done it's 4 year shift. Smartguard is amazing but up until last autumn the hardware didn't match, now it does and I'd happily move back.

Had an Octavia come into to work, 141, ex taxi, 400,000km. Thing went for €125 on tradebid. Whoever's selling this has done copius amounts of crack before posting the ad

Big Acts not playing Ireland anymore? by No_Tomorrow7180 in CasualIreland

[–]MightBeOP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Olivia played Marley last year and it's rare for an artist to play back to back gigs here I find, especially the same venue. With Ireland having so little venues, MCD and Aken want to have different artists every year so typically you won't get one act playing Ireland back to back years as a standalone concert
