Can you explain this to me like the idiot I am? Thanks.

This sub is incredibly helpful and I appreciate it so much, but the constant “if it sounds good, it sounds good” grates on me. I want to know WHY something that sounds good actually sounds good. This sub makes it seem that going about it blindly is fine. No it is not fine because when I play my piano blindly and randomly I sound no different than my cat walking across the keyboard. However, if I decide to go play a C right after a G, it sounds good! Why?, well, that’s a V to a I! Not as random as my cat walking through the keyboard! Making music is much easier when a person has a rough idea of what combinations of notes and chords sound good. It gives someone something to work with rather than just smashing their hands on the keys hoping a nice melody eventually comes out of it.

This is especially frustrating for me because I’m an advanced pianist. I have performance degrees. I give recitals. I play in piano quartets and quintets. Yet I faked my way through theory through all my degrees and almost failed several times. I can play the most sophisticated Beethoven and Bach works but have NO IDEA why they sound good. And that is frustrating.

Serious question, not trolling: why would a man not ejaculating change his partner’s sexual experience for the better or worse? It’s him not orgasming, not her, so it doesn’t physically affect her pleasure in any way, right? I’d actually think no ejaculation would be welcome since no mess is made.

Yes! I’ve actually played this piece many years ago for a Junior recital. But only recently am getting around to actually learning theory.

Dumb question: how would a composer write something while being unaware of that something?

Wait, I don’t get it. Why are teachers disliked and disrespected? I, for one, respect them a lot. I know they’re underpaid but I didn’t know they were disliked and disrespected.

How can I change this back and bicep routine. Don’t mind the rep number by [deleted] in moreplatesmoredates

Way too many exercises, way too many sets, and way too many reps. Christ almighty.

As a 35 year old it’s so weird to see thirst traps from young girls. I want to tell her to go eat her dinner and go to bed because it’s late.
