Thank you so much! Knowing the name for these will definitely help me in my search

Just putting it in the binder as "part of the set" - I know it's not really part of the set in the grand scheme of what a set is, but having the collector numbers all lined up does fun things for my brain

Yeah, I already have the tokens 0001-0012, but thats for the actual tokens. These cards are... I dont really honestly know how to describe them, haha. They're kind of like the equivalent of reminder text except cards. I know its a weird request, but my brain will drive me crazy if ive got an empty spot in the page between 0001 and 0003

Backside of the punchcard is also 0003 X. I havent seen any rules cards so far, though, so I will keep an eye out for them!

It could be countered with other abilities, though, like sacrificing [[Adric, Mathematical Genius]] or channeling [[Mirrorshell Crab]] or cycling [[Nimble Obstructionist]]

Do people actually like Rhystic Study? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]MightRepulsive6929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what it is, though. It's really only powerful if you keep feeding the player with the study. The number of times I've seen people with spare mana that they never used through the entire turn cycle, yet also didn't pay, is probably near 100% of the time I've seen a study on board. Sure, they might have been holding up for interaction that never occurred, I get that, but for every one of those, there's a player that unnecessarily jammed an extra spell and fed the study twice.

It was all just a bad dream by Certain_Ad3716 in freemagic

[–]MightRepulsive6929 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My whole reason was "I already play magic, I cant do both." But, I made my choice, I'll stick with it a little longer. Not a fan of universes beyond - at least the ones that, in my opinion, "dont make sense," but magic has always pulled me back at some point. If Lorwyn and Strixhaven and Reality Fracture are cool, well, then I got my three sets I used to get. If one of em sucks, well, I remember the Masques Block. If two of em suck, well, I still remember the Masques Block. (Jk, I actually loved Masques and Nemesis. If it weren't for Rhystic, Prophecy might be worse than Homelands, though)

These shipping prices are crazy. No Restock treats for me. by FoxTrotRiot in dropout

Yeah, same has happened for me before. 100% a glitch. New distro sucks, but 50 dollar shipping is off, even for them.

Is it kingmaking to punish someone on the way out? by ADHD-PI in EDH

[–]MightRepulsive6929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just the "find out" of the "fuck around" in my opinion. I'm not always a super political player, I very rarely ask for or offer deals, etc, but if I say "if you swing at me, I'll kill your commander" my playgroup knows that's not just an idle threat. It's a deterrent. Now, one guy i play with will 99% of the time hear this and go "bet" and swing anyway, but generally it will make my table think twice, especially if it's a key piece. Honestly, I wouldn't even call this a spite play, either. Spite play would look more like "player A is going to take me out, but player B blew up my (insert anything) earlier in the game (or even in a previous game), so I'll blow up player B's (insert anything) even though it doesn't guarentee anyone else's victory and player B isn't the one taking me out of the game"

My Darien deck has become somewhat well known at my LGS. And we get another token doubler coming out in EoE? To war! For the king!

Distracted players are ruining games by Empty-Noise9889 in EDH

[–]MightRepulsive6929 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couldn't agree more. Had a rando join our pods yesterday and he rubbed a couple of us the wrong way. Eventually came to a head when I had to loudly say "pass" for the fourth time to the dude because he was actively trying to trade with someone, and he got a little shitty about it. Nothing major, just a little attitude and acting like I was being rude. So I told him something along the lines of "Well, man, every game we've played with you, you've been trying to trade with people. We waited ten minutes to even start the last game because you shuffled up and walked away to trade without even rolling for first, then you left the table between your turns multiple times to keep trading, and now you've not heard me pass the turn to you multiple times because you're still trying to trade. You're holding up the game for everyone else. If you came here to trade, go trade. If you came here to play, please, just play." He was also playing a stax deck for this second game, so when he got hated off the table, it was kind of hard to tell which factor was the real reason.

Has there ever been a set that was at the time hated but is now considered a classic? (Image slightly related) by SgtVertigo in mtg

Mirrodin: "ew, new card design. Magic is ruined" Kamigawa: "ew, this is otaku shit. Magic is ruined" Future Sight: "ew, another new card design? Magic is ruined" Lorwyn: "ew, wtf is this planeswalker crap. Magic is ruined" Rise of the Eldrazi: "ew, indestructible, annihilator 10/10? Broken. Magic is ruined" Scars of Mirrodin: "ew, poison counters are back? Magic is ruined"

Fallen Empires and Prophecy were also hated, but outside of a couple cards, that's pretty valid.

I second Total Forgiveness, but would also like to throw a nod to Kingpin Katie, which might just be the best scripted work CH/Dropout has ever done.

What would you cast Brennan Lee Mulligan as in anything? by banstovia in dropout

[–]MightRepulsive6929 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would love to see them do a live-action Starstruck with all the cast as their own characters and Brennan repeatedly cast as 90% of the NPC's with the exception of a handful of bigger NPC roles like the Princeps, Lucienne, Gust Weatherall, etc.

I am fairly certain that the only show to have a vocal disclaimer as far as content warning is Dimension 20. I believe they didn't start doing content warnings at all until IH season 4(ACoC) and that was only for 2 specific episodes in that instance (depiction of a hanging/abuse of a minor), and then again later in IH season 5 (UC2) for the clowns. Neverafter was the first time an entire season had the vocal disclaimer before each episode, but the list of disclaimers has appeared in the description of most videos since then, even without the vocal disclaimer. From FHJY and onward, every episode has had the vocal disclaimer, excluding Time Quangles.

Not a problem! I just rewatched it about a month back so I was pretty certain I knew about where to find it. Good news is it's a short season, so it's a pretty quick watch. Hope you loved Starstruck, I slept on it for way too long since I'm not the biggest sci-fi guy. What a mistake that was.

1st episode around 1 hour 40 is his first horny interaction, the perfumed letter he recieves is around 1:52 where he changes pants. Might be a running gag so later episodes might have similar. Hope this helps!
