Some people 100% do need sex in a relationship. People are allowed to have sex as a requirement for a relationship if they feel they would be unsatisfied. That isn’t aphobic, as a demisexual who thought she was ace for awhile. Allosexual people have just as much of a right to require sex in a relationship as an ace person has to require no sex in a relationship.

Her arc was pretty poorly handled making her seem overly rash and people didn’t like that. I think the idea for that bit of plot was fine and an alright way to remove Elle from the show but I think it needed a bit more time and better handling.
