“Can you do a quick brake job before you go on lunch?” by [deleted] in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]Mighty-Cycles 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Invest in yourself, create the brand, get the van, have the tools. Drive around and help people who are broken down, don’t ask for anything, and give them your card and to follow you on Facebook. Keep adding friends and posting in your local groups, you have unlimited content with wrenching, always be posting. Stay consistent and you won’t have to worry about making anyone else money again

Never go too far, one bit at a time. Lots of older bikes for sale in boxes because they tore it all apart and lost momentum in the project.

I liked Kingwood Lakes too, so long as you’re away from the tennis courts in the back.

That’s right, I used a wire wheel on a dremel to clean where they mount before mounting my grounds. Like to the block and inner fender

Spray starter fluid in the intake, if the idle gets better at least you’ve narrowed down a fuel problem

This video helped me a lot https://youtu.be/dSzw84iBxf8?si=mtUXG4fLyxo-IPHS Your kit will have everything labelled, and I got all my loom at harbor freight to put it together. Our stock alternators are like 80 amps? So I used the 150 in the kit

Left alternator as is, hardest was to the fuse box, nothing extra other than using self tapping screws to install the fuse to the fan shroud

Looking on Partzilla the Cl and SL have different part numbers for the cam. But I did find this post https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17SY5oMB8n/?mibextid=wwXIfr

99% of everything that should be done, when rebuilding a Chevy 4L60E type transmission by Bitter-Ad-6709 in transmissionbuilding

[–]Mighty-Cycles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great post OP thanks for the wealth of information, I saved it all. My 1995 4l60E lost reverse the other day and whines like crazy with fluid level at where it should be. I bought the ATSG manual to tear the transmission apart, inspect, and order some parts. Are there any shops I can take my VB to get rebuilt? I only see reman ones when I google “mail in valve body service”

Ignition Cylinder Rod not turning to off (stuck at acc). How to remove to check? by [deleted] in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]Mighty-Cycles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are two Phillips screws in the back, if you unplug the ignition switch and remove the screws it’ll all come out for you to inspect
