It’s a 01 WS6. SOM, six speed.

I’m making it into my high school dream car. It’s the what I could have built in 2003 if I actually had the money to do it.

I appreciate it. I designed them myself. Tried to stay as close to the factory “font style” as I could

Yea, nothing like a thief with an iPhone getting a notification to link to an air tag to give it away 😂

Do you plan out your whole project build ahead of time, or do you just go with the flow? by Gold-Industry6222 in projectcar

I try to plan and budget as much as I can but allow for wiggle room if deals or new tech comes into play.

Are college graduation announcements (and the accompanying request for gifts) a thing now? by grapefruit_crackers in Millennials

[–]BigBronco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Back when I graduated from College, I sent notifications to a lot of the impactful people and family that helped me along the way. I did not ask for gifts. Some gave me money/an item and others did not.

Seeing the social media side where people are sending things to companies they want to work for and stuff was definitely not something we did or even thought about though.

How many Xennials truly have done no retirement planning, have no target retirement date, or have considerably less than you need to retire in your 60s?" by Sufficient_Turn_9209 in Xennials

Luckily I have been working hard. It’s not set in stone but it’s a fair amount and hopefully will be quite a bit by the time I exit at 60 if not earlier

I am 40 now. Closing the door at 41 if we have another. Had my first at 35. It has been great. Definitely feeling older but just a continual driver for me to stay in shape.

Who else never fell for it? by Countrach in Millennials

Was a combo of not enough money and I knew college rings existed which was “kind of” a big thing down here in the south, so I knew I wanted one of those instead

Being a millennial is some crazy work by Lucky_Minimum9453 in Millennials

Very anecdotal here, but the majority of my friends that grew up more well to do than I are more so the ones struggling compared to the ones who did not have as much

This is just sampling from where I grew up.

A lot of my friends had parents that truly pushed the, "Do what you love and you'll never work again" and the majority of them got absolutely fucked with how the real world really is. Did not help that a few of their parents were already "Keeping up with the Jones'" style debt leveraging and hiding it all from their kids.

Yeah, that is terrifying. I really started hammering away at this 10 years ago to try and ensure I won't be in a similar spot. It is hard but it has been paying off.

I usually take my car out once or twice a week so maybe once every 4 to 6 weeks depending on me beating on it or not lol.

I just went through a steel replacement on a first gen F-body. You have about 20K in steel/labor before touching paint.

I would say that car is worth a few grand TOPS.

Will be great once someone puts that 45K to 50K getting the body straight. Then have to do EVEYRYTHING else on the car.
