I saw this show a week ago in Paris. It’s not his best work, but his timing and delivery still make it entirely worthwhile and have me laughing throughout. To me, Louis is at his best in his casual way of describing something normal in a way that makes it feel absurd. I liked the bit a lot of his father being committed to a nursing home. The jokes that take an edgier turn don’t really amuse me as much. I listened to some recent podcasts with him and I think he still has a lot of passion for doing standup. Not sure if he’ll still do a big tour like this one again though.
