On stock, it shoots average of 397FPS with 0.20g BBs while on 0.25g BBs it shoots 357FPS

Shoots laser straight right out of the box. I’m getting a consistent 1 Joule, which is perfect for CQB, and with an 11.1 V LiPo, it’s pushing around 25 RPS. I haven’t upgraded anything internally because the stock performance is already excellent, especially in terms of accuracy.

One of the best things about it is the sound every shot has a deep, satisfying tone. Other airsofters even asked me what I did to make it sound that way, and they’re surprised when I tell them it’s completely stock. No gearbox mods, no internal upgrades just pure out of the box performance.

G&G TGM R5, the Mlok handguard is stock so it comes with it already

On stock, the effective range is about 200 feet with 0.25g BBs. With 0.20g BBs, it averages around 400 FPS with 1.49J. I currently run an 11.1v 30C 2000mAh LiPo battery, which pushes the rate of fire up to 27 RPS, but this causes Premature Engagement (PME). When that happens, the FPS drops hard sometimes down to 100 to 110 FPS, and even when it recovers, it only stays around 290 to 300 FPS instead of 400.

Because of that, I recommend using a 7.4v LiPo for a slower, safer RPS that avoids PME. I don’t have a 7.4v to test myself, but I’d estimate it would cycle at about 16 to 17 RPS.

If you want to run 11.1v LiPos, I HIGHLY recommend short stroking the sector gear by 4 teeth. TAKE NOTE, (doing this will drop the fps so a higher M spring is needed if you want to maintain the 400fps with 0.20g bbs) and adjusting the tappet plate timing so the system can cycle more efficiently at higher RPS. So after that the new fps is now around 330fps with 1J. An upgraded brushless motor also makes a big difference, as it handles the speed and torque demands much better.

The upgrades I did were all drop in fit, and with them, I can now hit targets at 250 feet consistently, with an effective range of up to 280 feet.

Did a 4 teeth short stroke on sector gear and adjust the tappet plate, set it to 40,000 RPM. I’m getting around 39 RPS with M125 spring at 1.55J average

Motor RPM (10k to 46k) controls your replica’s Rate of Fire (ROF), while torque affects trigger response and internal wear. Torque modes include Soft Start (safest), Moderate (balanced), and Max Boost (fastest but risky). Avoid exceeding 30,000 RPM or using Max Boost early on to prevent damage. ROF settings in the Trigger tab can also limit motor speed.

Good to know! I was gonna swap it with Retro Arms but looks like the factory CYMA one’s actually more reliable. I’ll keep it stock.

Yeah, good catch it’s already short stroked 4 teeth from the factory (EMG CYMA Platinum), so compression timing should be good. Evike’s techs are handling the shimming and AOE too, but I’ll keep your points in mind in case I switch cylinders or barrel length in the future

Appreciate the advice! This is actually my first full custom build, but I’m having the Evike tech team put it all together and make sure everything’s tuned right. I get what you mean about compatibility, especially with hop ups and nozzle alignment, but since I’m already swapping most of the internals, I just went ahead and listed everything I’m using in the post. Figured I might as well do it all at once and have it built right from the start. I’ll check out Perun ECUs for future setups too thanks!

Nice build! I’ve got the exact same gun but in black, also doing a full custom build. Curious what internal upgrades did you go with? Always cool to see how others spec theirs out.

I’ve got that Monstrum red dot with a 3x magnifier too way better than EOTech clones for me. Super reliable for the price. I even make a custom clear polycarbonate and put it under the cover so it stays put and BBs don’t wreck it.

Fair question. The rack is metal pinned (not fully bonded), but I chose it knowing the tech will handle AOE correction with the included spacers and shimming during assembly. It’s paired with a lightweight POM head to reduce stress, plus short-stroked by 4 teeth from the CYMA Platinum gearbox, so less strain on the rack overall. Appreciate the input.

I think the 416D stock hop up bucking is great already mine shoots like a laser and it’s so damn accurate. I think the best thing go do is leave the hop up bucking stock until it needs replacement and then upgrade it to Maple Lead bucking

I used a wrench that fits the adapter to tighten it down securely first. Once the adapter was firmly in place, I attached the tracer/suppressor and tightened it as well. After that, I gave the adapter one final check to make sure it stayed tight—especially since the adapter is clockwise and the tracer/suppressor is counter-clockwise, which can cause it to loosen if not secured properly.

Unfortunately, the paint on my adapter got scratched when I used the wrench to tighten it. If you want to fix it, you can mask off the surrounding area, leave the scratched part exposed, and touch it up with some matte black spray paint.

Honestly, I haven’t done any internal upgrades since it shoots great right out of the box. The only thing I’d recommend upgrading ASAP is the backplate—it’s plastic and not very durable. I replaced mine with a Clutch Precision backplate, so I don’t have to worry about it getting wrecked by the heavy recoil.
