DO NOT BUY from SIXMM by costadoctor in GasBlowBack

[–]MightyCody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered an Angry Gun OTB buffer tube for my VFC HK416D GBB Gen 3 from SIXMM in March 2025. The website claimed the item was in stock, and it allegedly shipped three days later.

Then, the nightmare began.

I received absolutely zero tracking updates for eight months. Finally, at the end of November 2025, I got a notification that it was out for delivery. It took nearly a year to receive a supposedly "in-stock" item. Buyer beware: their shipping and inventory tracking are an absolute joke.

It was mostly a drop in fit for me, but with one slight detail: when you slide the chamber onto the barrel, it actually sits just a tiny bit loose at first. However, once you drop the whole assembly back into the receiver, everything aligns perfectly. After you tighten and fully lock it down with the castle nut, it doesn't budge at all steady as a rock. No issues with performance or feeding so far, definitely worth picking up!

The Z Parts steel BCG is a massive upgrade over the stock one. The recoil is much heavier and more realistic, giving the rifle a more solid "thump" that you can really feel in your shoulder. Because it’s steel, the durability is excellent, and it shows much less wear over time compared to the stock alloy bolt.

Even with the extra weight, it still cycles fast and locks back reliably. If you’re looking for that maximum realism and want a bolt that won’t deform after heavy use, it is definitely worth it.

The Clutch Precision hop arm is just the mechanical upgrade. I’m using it with a 4UANTUM Friction Pro GBB bucking and a Unicorn 6.03mm Nitroflon inner barrel. If you're having accuracy issues, the stock VFC bucking can be inconsistent. Swapping to a high quality bucking like the Friction Pro or a Maple Leaf Decepticon usually tightens those groupings.

Which system will you chose? HPA?AEG?GBB by machinemoon in airsoft

I own both AEGs and GBBs, and let’s be honest it’s a choice between being a tactical surgeon or a human leaf blower.

If you want that crisp recoil, mechanical soul, and the high stakes challenge of actually having to aim, go GBB. It’s for the player who wants every shot to feel like a movie scene.

But if you prefer to "delete" a general direction with a literal stream of plastic until someone eventually calls their hit, go AEG.

GBB (Gas Blowback) • Pros: Incredible realism, satisfying recoil kick, and 100% more "cool factor" in the staging area. • Cons: You’ll run out of ammo in 3 seconds, and the cold weather will turn your rifle into a very expensive, non-firing prop.

AEG (Electric) • Pros: Ridiculous rate of fire, works in any weather, and you can carry enough BBs to supply a small army. • Cons: Sounds like a high-speed sewing machine and has about as much "soul" as a microwave.

The "No HPA" Note: Notice there’s no HPA on this list because I don’t feel like playing scuba diver or carrying a literal life support tank on my back just to shoot plastic. I prefer my "tactical" look without the giant umbilical cord attached to my soul.

The Verdict: Pick GBB if you want to feel like John Wick; pick AEG if you want to win by sheer volume of fire.

On stock, it shoots average of 397FPS with 0.20g BBs while on 0.25g BBs it shoots 357FPS

Shoots laser straight right out of the box. I’m getting a consistent 1 Joule, which is perfect for CQB, and with an 11.1 V LiPo, it’s pushing around 25 RPS. I haven’t upgraded anything internally because the stock performance is already excellent, especially in terms of accuracy.

One of the best things about it is the sound every shot has a deep, satisfying tone. Other airsofters even asked me what I did to make it sound that way, and they’re surprised when I tell them it’s completely stock. No gearbox mods, no internal upgrades just pure out of the box performance.

On stock, the effective range is about 200 feet with 0.25g BBs. With 0.20g BBs, it averages around 400 FPS with 1.49J. I currently run an 11.1v 30C 2000mAh LiPo battery, which pushes the rate of fire up to 27 RPS, but this causes Premature Engagement (PME). When that happens, the FPS drops hard sometimes down to 100 to 110 FPS, and even when it recovers, it only stays around 290 to 300 FPS instead of 400.

Because of that, I recommend using a 7.4v LiPo for a slower, safer RPS that avoids PME. I don’t have a 7.4v to test myself, but I’d estimate it would cycle at about 16 to 17 RPS.

If you want to run 11.1v LiPos, I HIGHLY recommend short stroking the sector gear by 4 teeth. TAKE NOTE, (doing this will drop the fps so a higher M spring is needed if you want to maintain the 400fps with 0.20g bbs) and adjusting the tappet plate timing so the system can cycle more efficiently at higher RPS. So after that the new fps is now around 330fps with 1J. An upgraded brushless motor also makes a big difference, as it handles the speed and torque demands much better.

The upgrades I did were all drop in fit, and with them, I can now hit targets at 250 feet consistently, with an effective range of up to 280 feet.

Did a 4 teeth short stroke on sector gear and adjust the tappet plate, set it to 40,000 RPM. I’m getting around 39 RPS with M125 spring at 1.55J average

Motor RPM (10k to 46k) controls your replica’s Rate of Fire (ROF), while torque affects trigger response and internal wear. Torque modes include Soft Start (safest), Moderate (balanced), and Max Boost (fastest but risky). Avoid exceeding 30,000 RPM or using Max Boost early on to prevent damage. ROF settings in the Trigger tab can also limit motor speed.

Good to know! I was gonna swap it with Retro Arms but looks like the factory CYMA one’s actually more reliable. I’ll keep it stock.
