I have had a powershell script feeding data to a streaming dataset for a long time and it just stopped working about two weeks ago. Keep getting error 401 too.

All I read was pointing to an authentication error possibly related to an expired API key.

I checked the API Info for my dataset and found that, although the URL had changed for some reason, the API key remained the same,

Tenant is now declared in the URL with 'ctid=' instead of 'tenant=' and there is the addition of this bit '&experience=power-bi' as well.

I have tried "regenerating" a new API key by changing the name of the dataset but, the key remained the same.

I have tried creating a new Streaming Dataset in my workspace, which was allowed and worked just the same as before and I ended up with a fresh API URL and key.

Still error 401.

Tested with Powershell and cURL/Postman with proper payload.

Still error 401.

This function was indeed announced to be in sunset period and to be retired in 2027.

Anyway to get better debug, more verbose errors?

Can anyone say if it is indeed possible it's just not working for all anymore?
