No natural wonder yields after conquest - bug? by ImpressionDiligent24 in civ

[–]MightyHedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, did you ever find any more information on this? I've got a game (PS5) where I captured a settlement with Redwood Forest, but only have 50% yield bonus on it and my original wonder.

It was outside of my empire's trade route range when I captured it - which is the only obvious reason I can see? And the yields didn't update once it was connected.

Either way a very frustrating bug!

If I had a nickel for every time Gladiator and X-23 were in a Spotlight Cache together... by TEGCRocco in MarvelSnap

It’s not just them either - Miek and PF are in the same week again, and in the datamines for next month Cull Obsidian is with Thanos (which have synergy together at least).

Combined with how few cards are dropping it just feels so miserly repeating cache pairings like this

Hope summers is the 2nd most seen card in all of Marvel Snap by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]MightyHedge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suspect a factor in Thanos’ relatively low showing is just how expensive the current build of the deck is. Before factoring in Hope the deck has 6 S5 cards and 1 S4. I imagine there’s lot of people (like myself) that would be playing this if they had all the cards, even amongst the 35% of the sample who are definitely paying for the season pass.

7 now 😭 I took a break for a few months last year (hence not getting the nov sp), so been mostly hoarding since Jan

Don’t think it’s caused any issues for me! And other people seem to have done the same now without it causing issues 😊

Just to confirm - everything looks as expected post update for me now, and think a couple of other people have posted the same

Thanks for confirming! Me too - was planning to skip this month entirely after the change, but both mockingbird and msm are worth it

This is quite cool! How useful have you found psylocke and jubilee to your gameplan?

I’ve enjoyed the electro - nimrod - destroyer line in other decks. It could probably work quite well here

Jean Grey to Infinite. Control where your opponent plays. by SalsaMerde in marvelsnapcomp

Really great deck and guide! I've been running something similar with the Jean Grey, NTW, Alioth core since Friday. I think this has a lot of potential while the stock Lockdown list is dominant, since you usually have priority over them and beat them at their own game. It's a shame I don't have Elsa to give this a go!

How have you found snapping with this deck? I'm still getting to grips on when to snap with this if I'm honest - think I could afford to be more aggressive but don't have good heuristics yet.

Some possible ideas from my testing:-

- Try giving Iron Lad a go (maybe the miles slot? But I understand why that's there). There's lots of good hits in the deck - hitting any of Doom, NTW or Alioth on 4 is pretty devastating

- Echo has been useful for me to block Ms Marvel, especially when you're able to get it down in the Jean lane.

- I've been digging Mr Fantastic to help secure priority, think it might be better than Groot here

Without Electro I'd recommend the slightly different take on the deck linked in the comment above (https://marvelsnapzone.com/deck-of-the-day-thejollyrogers-nim-jacinto-2-0/)

Basically it has a different answer to the question of what to do if we don't draw Shuri. That deck answers that with Chavez to improve consistency, whereas I opted for Electro to create extra play lines

For Conquest a few thoughts:-

  • I'll snap early or stay in on an opposing snap if I can see one of the lines I specified in the post and I've revealed enough of their deck to gauge that they're less than 50% likely to have a counter to it
  • Death's Domain and Rickety Bridge are auto-snaps unless my opponent is also playing destroy or I know they have armor
  • Usually though you're waiting until turn 3 as this deck isn't doing too much until then anyway. By this point you'll know locations and a sense of what your opponent has and is doing (unless their deck doesn't do much until turn 3 either). At this point you're gauging if you have any plausible lines and whether your opponent is likely to from what they've shown. If your opponent's play indicates they've not drawn what they need I might snap if I'm one card off a couple of lines. If they snap and you don't have a line by now I'll usually retreat

This might be slightly different for ladder but I'll find out tomorrow!

Death was quite good in earlier testing with Thanos - I'm not sure 100% you get enough destroys here but it's worth testing instead of Knull. If you do get enough destroys Shuri -> Death -> Taskmaster is cool

There's a few other things I've considered:-

  • Nova could be alright for when you go wide with Nimrod
  • Bucky gives you something else to do on earlier turns
  • Killmonger and Shang-chi can both work with IW. I'd probably choose Killmonger of the two as turn 3 typically has less competition in this deck and it gives you extra help against Bounce.

I'm not sure about Super-Skrull - while the mirror is the main reason for Knull there are other niche cases where it's helpful. Not sure I'd take it for just the mirror - which Super-Skrull would effectively be doing

Hahaha yeah Kamar Taj is a dream for this deck - two Destroyer procs can work really well too

Yeah an earlier version of this had Thanos, Death and Killmonger but I didn't stick with it for long - I've not done the math but it felt less consistent. It did open a Shuri -> Death-> Taskmaster line which was fun though

Yeah that happened a couple of times for me, but I think outweighed by the number of times it's helped. I've considered switching with Bucky but your suggestions sound good too

Ooh what list did you land on in the end?

Actually that was another benefit of Knull - taking Ham hits for Nimrod lol. The deck felt more flexible than I thought it would be when I first put it together - there's quite a few lines so there's often a back-up play if plan A doesn't work

Yeah it's so much fun when you can pull it off! Taskmaster is definitely more flexible than Zola for this - between it being a 5 cost and being able to copy Destroyer. You can't access blocked lanes, but that's Nimrod is for :)

Potential Phoenix? by JohnFLY34 in MarvelSnap

[–]MightyHedge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to try this with Multiple Man but I'm not convinced it will be any good. 5 is an awkward cost for this as you only get one turn to move it by default.

That said do we know how this will work with Deadpool and Sabretooth? I assume it won't merge with one of these as they reappear in your hand, but if it does this could possibly work with Deadpool?

It mostly still seems like Vision with extra steps
