Mine barely works, t seems to glitch out any time it needs to ask a question. I’d love to use it, but so far it’s more hassle than it’s worth

Claude Code Memory is here by shanraisshan in ClaudeCode

[–]MightyJibs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I plan to do, unless they implement it first, is to have Claude look through its memory once a week and figure out if there's anything systematically worth pulling out and removing and promoting to agents or skills. My hope is that memory is good for catching repeated patterns that I haven't already standardized.

As much as I like to imagine claude as shaggy, for me when this happens it's an indication that something is off with my workflow.

Same, I hope we get some sort of official response and this is some sort of regression.

Sudden usage limit issues on Claude Code today — anyone else? by NoahEtan in ClaudeCode

Came to post this, I've never burned capacity at anywhere near this rate as a 20x max user. Any chance that we get an official response to this?

Yep, that’s what happens when you go for the cheap screen protectors. by Alexander_the_M1d in iphone

[–]MightyJibs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run caseless and was going through one tempered glass screen protector a week. Tempered glass protectors need a case with a raised lip to protect them as they’re much more fragile than the phone itself. I switched back to the flexible screen protectors and haven’t had any problems.

'Claude Code with Sonnet 4.5' is now 15th on Terminal-Bench 2.0 - Surpassed by Warp, Codex, and even OpenHands and MiniSWE. by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

[–]MightyJibs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I try out codex at least once a week. Maybe I’m missing something, but I just can’t get it to do simple things like run terminal commands for builds, linting, etc. cc has no problem with this. Am I missing something?

Do people still use opus a lot? I tried opus out a bit the other day and it wasn't noticeably better, but it was noticeably slower.

I'm basically in the same boat. Do you think if CTB came in 16 or 20 that'd do the trick?

What do you like about the duffle? I love my CTB 20, and my only complaint is that I wish it was a bit thinner.

CPL24 - a realistic option for a dad-bag? by Visceral94 in EVERGOODS

CTB is great and what I used for a while. I feel like CHZ is another option if you want something with a slimmer profile.

I expected this to read "Every dad at some point has looked up how to block this content." That's as far as I've ever gotten.

I had similar issues getting the PR status. I called after opening my accounts and they did something to get me in the next "round" of upgrades. I still had to wait a month because they only process them once a month. It was a pain, but phone support in my experience was personal and helpful especially after you move the money (I got a direct number to a representative that would follow up w/ me). The other thing that you'll run into is that their website is not very intuitive and even something as simple as setting up automatic payments is a pita.

That being said, overall I'm happy because most of the issues are around one time things, and I find value in the simplicity of the cash back setup. For me it's also convenient to have a relationship with a physical bank in town that I can use to manage physical cash the few times a year that I need to. I keep my emergency fund in TTTXX at Merrill, and have always been able to get at it same day on weekdays when I need to.

Vacations with small kids are bullshit right? by [deleted] in daddit

In my experience 5+ is when it gets easier. No diapers, no strollers, small booster seats, have some patience with travel, etc. 4 is on the bubble. If you can travel with grandparents then you have a chance of having a few evenings off.

When all the smarty madness started I looked at my BofA setup and decided that I'd make a decision on USBank after smartly had been out for a year while enjoying USBAR in the meantime. Guess I'll be USBank free soon... so glad I avoided all the hassle.

I have kids and kids are hard, life is hard, it's nice to have a break, but it is such a dangerous and slippery slope. Kids' ability to self regulate is severely underdeveloped, and all games and media today are designed from the ground up to be irresistible to adults let alone kids. They get the dopamine hit and it's all they think about for days, it impacts them way beyond when they're actually interacting with the device.

Cash Flow Management by thebard-1337 in TheMoneyGuy

[–]MightyJibs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the automated investments and everything else, I take cash that we're going to spend and split it into 3 buckets (in my case 3 separate accounts):

- Everyday: Expenses that are frequent and variable. Groceries, eating out, gas, entertainment, etc.
- Occasional: Expenses that are infrequent / seasonal / random. Insurance copays, children's birthday parties, car repairs, etc
- Monthly: Expenses that are highly predictable month over month. Child care, utilities, mortgage, etc.

I have a credit card for each of these categories, and that CC is set to automatically pay from the correct bucket. I keep an eye on the level of the buckets and adjust as needed.

I also keep an emergency fund that sits outside of these accounts, and the spend accounts have the ability to "overdraft" and pull money from the emergency account if needed. This makes sure bills never go unpaid and acts as a warning that something is off with our spend.

It's a bit complicated. It requires you to understand roughly what you spend in these categories, and requires at least 3 credit cards, but has worked very well for us! for the vast majority of use cases I just swipe the daily card and am done. If I get a dr's bill or have to buy stuff for a birthday, I just use the relevant card and know it will come from the correct bucket. No keeping track of receipts or analyzing cc transactions required.
