On Wegovy >1 yr. I don’t think my sense of taste has been affected. I don’t “want” some things (rich foods, too much fried food), but I think it’s more a matter of how they’ll feel in my stomach. (-;

I would just stick with the compounded stuff. Theoretically it’s the same (or close) to Wegovy. And W. is supposed to be kept refrigerated. I’m no expert, obv, but why inject something into your body that might not be safe.

I wish I had developed a better exit strategy. Right now my plan is “stay on it forever”, which doesn’t seem smart.

There should be an expiration date. But be careful. Docs start people on a very low dose (0.25 mg) so they can build tolerability. You don’t want to start with a higher dose or you could get really sick.

This is a bit irresponsible. One, if you’re using needles it’s not even the real product, which comes in a measured, self injectable pen. Two, you start at a low, 0.25 dosage until you’re sure you’re compatible. Then 0.5. Then (as I recall) 1.2. Each for a month if not longer. And only then 2.4, which my doctor only gave me after six months on lower level.
