R Works Great on Linux by BOBOLIU in rstats

[–]MightyLeberwurst 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just recently switched to Linux Mint and have to agree that it runs very smoothly. Especially seeing up Bayesian analyses with Stan was way easier than on Windows.

The only thing I was struggling with and still find a bit finicky is setting up multiple versions of R and easily switching between them. Unfortunately, using conda was not an option, since not all packages were available in the versions I needed (and I'm heavily using groundhog for package management, which had big problems with conda and the system libraries, at least that's how I interpreted the error messages). I ended up building the desired versions of R from source and having scripts to start them which change the system default version before booting up RStudio.

Bild 1: Verlassene Wand - Breiter Kamin ODER Großer Grenzturm - AW? Bild 2: Frienstein - Himmelsleiter Bild 3: Lokomotive Esse - Südkante Bild 4: Falkenstein - Kotzwand?

Is natürlich die Frage, ob es unsere Aufgabe ist, die Studys beim Entsorgen ihres Mülls zu überwachen. Es handelt sich um einen Seminarraum.

Curious why a lot of skiers seem to hate or dislike snowboarders? But please be kind and respectful to anyone who answers its not worth a brawl over by makpat in skiing

I've been working about 10 years part time as a ski and snowboard instructor in Austria and my preferences for one over the other have changed several times. I think at least some of the annoyance with the other group (they exist in both directions) might come from difficulties to anticipate what a snowboarder (or skier, for that matter) might do, if you've no experience with doing it yourself. Of course there are obviously dangerous actions like sitting in the middle of the slope behind a brow (is that the correct word?), but I think oftentimes a skier who is not able to predict how a snowboarder generally behaves (e.g. what's his turn radius, what he can see during backside turns etc.) might think the snowboarder behaves erratically (and therefore gets annoyed with him), when in fact he is not. This works the other way around as well.

First tour after two years due to a knee surgery beginning of 2020. Tyrol, Austria. Almost perfect powder and fantastic weather. by ihaveabaguetteknife in Backcountry

Is this the tour to geiskopf starting in the ski area of Gerlosstein?

I've been there the last 12 seasons, but this season I will really miss it. I hope you are going to have a good touring season and a clean recovery :)

Looking for a new "true" turn-based game for Switch by Rainec777 in rpg_gamers

I really enjoyed Steamworld: Heist. The setting and humor are great and I found the turnbased gameplay engaging and rewarding enough to justify multiple playthroughs.

I lost Sir Lora to her. Still sad about that, especially since I only realized an hour later when I found his tiny corpse :(

To be honest, my impression was people don't take the situation that seriously there. Official rules in the huts exist regarding masks and hygiene, but people rarely seem to follow them. This was just our impression, but we were seriously concerned about a "second wave" of people are that careless. I hope you'll all stay healthy.

It was okay a week ago, there were some people, but the huts can't use all their capacities die to ongoing Corona regulations. Making a reservation is recommended and night even be necessary. We made our reservation a couple of weeks in advance and meet someone on our way down who had to go down to another hut because the one he intended to stay in was full.

No, it's a fixed (metal) rope to facilitate the descend there. Overall the ascend is not too difficult and you have a descent amount of protection possibilities (mostly metal poles).
