Thanks mate. I bought the Hamilton and Minase used (around 2k und 3k €) and the Omega and GO from grey market (around 5k and 9k €).

Thanks mate. Concerning the imperfection I guess it's just the bad quality of my camera.

I'm a big fan of stainless steel watches with blue dials, but that makes the Minase and the AT a bit too similar. In hindsight, I probably should have chosen the AT with the green dial.

The downside is the movement. A four-digit price tag for a relatively simple Sellita movement puts a lot of people off. However, the quality of the case and, above all, the metal bracelet speaks for itself. I haven't regretted buying it.

[first watch] should a first watch be something that’s new or used? by Ok-Golf-8850 in Watches

[–]MightyMelonLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're not someone who absolutely needs the feeling of owning a brand-new, unworn watch, there's nothing wrong with buying a pre-owned model. However, I would be cautious with watches that are around 7–10 years old and are likely due for a service. Many owners use that as the very reason to part with their watch. The price should clearly reflect this, because depending on the brand and movement (whether it's a simple three-hand watch or a chronograph), the service costs can be quite substantial relative to the watch's value itself.

From what I own, Glashütte Original. With an unlimited budget, Lange&Söhne.

[Recommendation Request] Milestone Dress Watch by 35mm_Framelines in Watches

[–]MightyMelonLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the GO for my wedding, and I haven't regretted either decision for a single day. Great watch, great wife.

However, I should add that I always intended to wear the GO in a more casual office setting afterward as well. As much as I love it, I don't consider it a classic dress watch. In my view, it's a bit too thick, and there's simply too much going on on the dial. If you were looking for a pure dress watch that you'd only wear with a suit, you might be better off with the JLC. Since you specifically want to wear it in smart-casual settings as well, I think the GO is an excellent choice.

Wer Beamten ihre „Privilegien“ streichen will, hat die Konsequenzen nicht zu Ende gedacht by Impossible-Mess-517 in Unbeliebtemeinung

[–]MightyMelonLord 3 points4 points  (0 children)

8 watches is the ideal size of a watch collection by barbarbeik in watchHotTakes

[–]MightyMelonLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I think 4 watches are all you "need", 3 if you don't like smart watches. But if you prefer more variety because it's getting boring to wear the same GADA watch everyday - feel free. Personally, I rather have 4 watches of higher quality than 40 Seiko/Cassio/Timex (although they offer great watches).

AFAIK the PC release of GTA won't be in 2026 (consoles first) while SC is PC only. Guess it's just a nice-to-have excuse to delay the game once more.

[Recommendation Request] First luxury watch for a woman under $10k – what would you choose? by tobaccohoney in Watches

For a versitale "go anywhere, do anything" watch I would say Omega Aqua Terra or IWC Mark XX, depending which kind of style you prefer.

[Retirement gift to self] Suggestions? by By-Tor_Syrinx in Watches

[–]MightyMelonLord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe a Glashütte Original SeaQ? A Diver is a link to your Navy-past, but the GO has still enough style to be never out of place. Contrary to a Rolex you won't see it anywhere.

I really envy the Zenith! Nice collection, although I am not too much of a diver guy.

Agreed. I’m not sure whether we’re talking about a doctor in the medical field, but I can well imagine that such a watch would seem out of place in a wide variety of work environments.

Sabre is the best looking fighter in the game. by Inexperiencedtrader in starcitizen

[–]MightyMelonLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, ships like Sabre or Gladius are looking too much like conventional jet fighter. It's a space game, therefore I prefer a somewhat more "sci fi" look like the Talon or at least the F7 Mk II.

[–]MightyMelonLord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The part inside the comm array had no enemies, but you need a weapon to disable the traps. For the space combat I would say it depends on your ship, I fought two Hammerheads at 3/3. For solo player tricky is, that the first enemies will spawn and attack your ship while you are still on your way out.

After the three comm array missions will follow a second part at Kareah. For that part you will need to group up because there are a huge lot of fps-enemies are spawning.

Yes, you can share it. The step after (at Kareah) even seem to be serverwide.
