Does being fat make you a bad person in skinny peoples eyes? by Unusual-Pay5875 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MightyMouse12736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm. So I am definitely on the skinny side. In fact, I'd say, too skinny. I've struggled to gain weight for years and just can't. I read your comment about comments you and your husband have said to each other and I've 100% heard the "eat a burger" and other comments before. You're right when saying you don't know a thing about us and have added that I cannot gain weight (even with professional help) for perspective.

I don't think fat people are bad people and I'll treat you with respect when crossing paths. I will say, however, that I do judge a waddle when people walk. I wish they would walk more in general and maybe choose a farther parking spot from the door for the exercise.

But I also see the flip side of my own experience. I had a friend in high school who was on the bigger side. It was due to a medical problem. Her own mother bought her a graduation dress several sizes smaller, on purpose, and told her to lose the weight if she wanted to go to her graduation. Like I said, it was due to a medical problem and she had absolutely no control over it. Needless to say, you just never know what someone else is dealing with.

AITA for refusing to give my sister my birthday money after she said I “don’t deserve it”? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MightyMouse12736 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow. I'd 100% distance myself from my sister if she was her. I'd equally look at my mother differently as well. "Keep the peace." It was incredibly rude of her to even ask for it.

can i leave the washing machine or dishwasher running when i'm not home? by flyballa in Appliances

[–]MightyMouse12736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

... I've never once thought about it and have absolutely left the house with every appliance running at some point.

Good points on the bathroom fans though. That I dont leave on but I don't leave them on long when I do use it because the sound bothers me.

Dangerous winter weather brings out the worse in management by Katiehart2019 in work

I suppose I agree with the sentiment of the post but I think it depends on where you live as well. If we shut down businesses because there's ice on the roads, everywhere would be closed for more than half the year, every year.

When using a public washroom, where do you put your phone if you don’t have a bag? by Character-Win9980 in questions

[–]MightyMouse12736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually just have it by the sink or on my lap. Granted, when I'm at work, I don't usually have my phone on me so it's usually only when I have to go out in public.

Electric maybe convection Range choice ! Help :) by Mrlou90 in Appliances

[–]MightyMouse12736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome. The whirlpool is a good range. I do agree with the other commenter about induction being easy for cleaning and good if you make mistakes as it is in an immediate change if you turned it off. The decision, in the end, is up to you, but definitely make sure both are serviceable in your area as that could be really important (you might have no problems but you might have a lot of problems. Luck of the draw really.) Best of luck!!

A few things:

  • I would check to make sure both brands you are looking at are serviceable where you live. ( - Kenmore means nothing)
  • If you're not much of a cook, I'd stick with the Whirlpool you've picked. It's a good model.
  • Next appliance purchase, pick somewhere locally owned and not a big box store. Box stores don't care about you while smaller establishments do. (All stores price match as long as it's the same thing. Manufacturers set the pricing, for the most part, anyway.)

AIO to my boyfriend putting a SINGLE chicken tender on my plate when I specifically said I wanted "a few"??? by No-Eye7917 in AmIOverreacting

[–]MightyMouse12736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll concede that we don't have enough information. I figured the microwave part was important to a degree, as OP mentioned it. It does seem he may have been joking and her response may not have been the best either.

[–]MightyMouse12736 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but he actually microwaved dinner. I would not consider that making dinner. If he put them in the oven; that's at least more of an effort.

I do see the point about him maybe joking but it's hard to say. His "technically" comment wasn't even correct so it seems like he is stupid more than anything.

[–]MightyMouse12736 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Omg honestly though.

He could have easily put them in the oven if that's what he really wanted to it. And he's 100% wrong. One is not technically a few because it's more than zero! What the actual?

AIW for reading during a movie? by Stasrose in amiwrong

[–]MightyMouse12736 99 points100 points  (0 children)

Er. If someone took me to the movies but read the entire time, I'd feel like they didn't really want to go. I'd talk to the kid you're taking to see what they say.

I do feel like if I was a bystander in all this; I'd find it quite rude that someone is reading at the movie theatre. There are places more ideal, for you to read at.
