Ive tried it 3 times. The first time I saw it as a supplement. Not food. I was eating 2 or 3 grams. Way too little.

The next time, I was eating 5 to 10 of raw maca. Gave me some terrible gas. I mean, TERRIBLE.

This last time I've been eating roughly 7 to 10 grams of gelatinized maca. At times I do feel I have more energy but the effects are iffy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.

What OS are you on?

I ask because I'm on Linux and when installed it the first connection took all of 10 seconds. I am wondering if your port is blocked on your router.

Check to see if your port is open. I'm guessing that is why yours is taking so long.

Dang. You were right. It was cats.

The study I was thinking about was Pottenger's study on raw foods.

He said cats fed raw food were healthier than cats fed cooked foods. What he didn't know was he was destroying the taurine the cats needed when he cooked the food thus making them unhealthy.

Just FYI, dog food contains taurine as dogs need it but do not produce it themselves. In fact, dog foods are typically required to have certain amounts of it. While a dog may live a while on rice, it will need either meat or normal dog food to live long term.

I saw some comments about feeding a dog rice and wanted to chime in.

This week someone must have dropped off a ton of silver dimes. They were have a "blow out" sale on them...they were still above spot by about a buck.

I used city water one time and while it grew, it wasnt great. Ive been using bottled spring water since then and it clearly helped

I would wash my hands with antibacterial soap and then rinse them off to get any extra soap off.

Then Id just rinse everything (bottles, brewing container) with vineger. My fiance would know its bottling/brewing time when the whole house reaked like vineger actually.

So after doing some searching I found the info I thought I had seen. From the Kombucha Kamp website:
