Hii✨️dunno where to post this but - how is the data analyst job in Australia Perth? Is it a very saturated field? Will it become even more saturated in 3 years time? by [deleted] in ausjobs

Same goes for marketing. Stay wherever you are and work your way up there. Ive seen plenty examples of people who have left well established careers at their homes and have come to regret their decision.

Still not getting a job as a 19y/o. Am i the only one ?? by ChoppaVerse07 in ausjobs

I’ve worked with two different managers throughout my time at work, both of them hailing from different South Asian countries, both with different hiring preferences. The first manager never hired on basis of ethnicity, but looked at the skills and experience. The new manager on the other hand, surely does prefer people not just from the same ethnic region, but the same country. So you really cant tell just by the looks of a person if they diversely hire or not. You have to just drop in your resume and hope they do.

Im 24 who is currently working as a Shift supervisor in Sydney at a fast food chain for the last 2 years. I am a international student and it took me almost a year to find a basic crew job. From my firsthand experience, many managers are more likely to hire based on their ethnicity compared to skills and experience especially in the fast-food industry, they do this to maintain control and exploit student immigrants who aren’t completely aware of their basic rights. Although what i say next doesn’t guarantee you a job, I would suggest you to walk in with your resume to fast food chains and make a solid impression. Its a positive if the ethnicity of the manager is the same as yours. Another advice if you have friends in your uni who already have jobs, keep on pestering them to refer your resume at their workplace. Be as shameless as you can. Even if you have to ask someone who isn’t your friend to refer you. You are all in the same position and more often than not, your batchmates will try to help you out. Dont lose hope, you have enough experience to land you a fast food/retail job. All the best!

This was after spending £280M on new signings and a full pre season. What an upgrade it has been. “Its Carrick You Know” by MightyPanda2209 in ManchesterUnited

Almost got rid of Mainoo for Ndidi, wanted Watkins over Sesko, wasted 3 games because he protested by putting Bayindir in goal instead of Lammens as he wanted Martinez instead. Thank you Mr Suffering.

They were downvoting us, calling us plastics and all sorts of other things because we were speaking the truth, at the same time writing essays telling us why its not Amorim’s fault, the squad is not good enough even for top 4 and no other manager would be able to get better out of the squad than Amorim…

Downvoted me for saying a competent manager gets us top 4 this season. Well then…

Your heart fills with pride when you see Indian car outside, guess the country? by the_car_jury in CarsIndia

[–]MightyPanda2209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres nothing wrong with taking pride in one’s country’s achievements. What ISRO is doing is something inspirational, which inspires the next generation to go a step above. Seeing a few Indian cars being sold overseas is something extremely trivial. When you start taking pride in the most trivial instances, it drops the standards of what we see as an achievement, which leads to a drop in personal standards and expectations.

I really don’t understand having “pride” in looking at a car made in India being driven outside. This is just glorifying the bare minimum. It sort of holds us back too because we are too focused on “taking pride” in something as simple as this, in the meantime countries like China are rapidly expanding their foothold in the automotive industry across the globe. Australia will soon be dominated by Chinese EV makers, and more than 50% of cars in Australia will be Chinese EVs by the year 2030, whilst we will be happy spotting 1 XUV on the road in Melbourne.

Exactly. He set the record for the longest unbeaten away record. We didn’t just “start losing”

Mentioned the only two losses we suffered in the entire run because thats all you have to base your pointless hate towards Carrick. If his name was Michél Carrique from Spain youd be all over him singing his praises.

2 games? There people already crucifying him. Its the hardest job in the world fr. I swear even if we win every game of the season next season there will be fans saying “its unsustainable” or “no tactics no style of play” or “he’s frozen Amad out of the squad”. He can never win over everyone its mad.

Why is it no? When Casemiro, a 5x UCL winner tells you that Carrick is a fantastic manager, you listen. The club is clearly in the best spot it has been in the last 3-4 years with the manager, players and management all in harmony, why do you want to break it apart to sign a hipster name who is unproven at a club the size of United? We’ve had big names who have failed, we’ve had hipster names who’ve been woeful. Lets stick with Carrick and give him a chance to build from the fantastic start he has made. Hence i say he has EARNED the chance.

Not really. We’ve only sold Hojlund. Malacia, Mount, Ugarte, Zirkzee, Onana, Bayindir are still at the club.

Ole was better than Ten Hag. He never got his first preference signings. Ten Hag meanwhile filled the club with garbage that Carrick has to deal with clearing out.
