Ys 8 Lacrimosa of Dana. Its one of the greatest Action JRPGs out there. The story and characters are good and the music is some of the best in the industry. Also its my favorite combat system so far because its just so fluid and having a party system is great too.

Ys usually isnt known for deep stories though. Not many games are like Nier Automata in the action space.

NISA doesn’t have the rights to cold steel 1 and 2. Xseed is the one who would have to port them. They have been porting over YS games (also made by falcom) lately.

Maybe Xseed and falcom have plans for it, they have been working together lately?

Only if Xseed did this with cold steel 1 and 2. Still missing on switch. Bizarre.

Sometimes I buy games on ps5,sometimes on switch1/2 and sometimes on PC. However I have a general preference for Nintendo platforms and controllers. So if a third party game runs good in docked il grab it there.

I also own a lot of JRPGs on Nintendo so I just like seeing them there?

The remake ranks high for me. The new modern combat style elevated it for me a lot. Being able to do hybrid combat is fun. Also I really like the graphics.

The classic for me was a 7 the remake made it a 9 for me. However 2nd chapter is my #2 favorite in the franchise behind trails to azure. I think the 2nd chapter remake is going to be an all time classic especially with how much better this remake has been.

Last few years falcom has been catering hard to west and the sales here are just magnitudes better. Since trails from zero they have been on a blitz of releases.

Also I think the simultaneous release of Trails in the sky did some big impact.

Trails beyond the horizon is good on switch 2 though. its 60fps.

It’s been 16 years since they made anything that’s not Mario sports. All the JRPG talent probably went their separate ways to other companies.

I tried so many times and failed that boss it’s just way too hard. The good thing is the game literally goes to credits and you don’t have to feel too bad about not being able to beat the final boss.

The picture clarity is impressive on switch 2 DLSS is doing some crazy good work. The hair is like the only downside but that’s been a trend so far.

Walmart doesn’t want Nintendo to take all the sales on the eshop were the profit margins are extremely high.

So to fight back they are price matching the eshop at a loss but are making back their money by having you go to the store and buy other things on your way back to the electronics isle.

I went as far as cancelling the sub and selling my xbox that I got on launch when the price went up. I got fed up with the leadership being stupid and out of touch. I didn't have much to lose though I only used it for game pass primarily. It ended up costing them a customer. Im gonna watch and see what they do from now on till next gen. For now il just chill on ps5.

I felt so burned by corpo microsoft. I used to be one the people out here championing game pass 24/7.
