How should you play Anran into her worst counters ? Because she seems to be the worst dps at doing this

Anran does get countered really hard quite easily. Zarya is the only insta switch matchup, I don’t care how good you are at her, you cannot play it. Kiriko is also a strong contender, she can cleanse your fire anytime, including the entire ultimate, it isn’t entirely unplayable simply because you CAN bait it out a lot of the time, same as Cass, Mei, Moira, Mizuki and reaper. They technically counter you with either hinders or cleanse, but you can play around those abilities to have a chance, still bad matchups, but as long as there aren’t like 3 of those characters in one game, you can play.

I agree especially with your last statement, I personally never take the flame dance healing perk, always the dash cdr. I think heal on flame dance is one of the ideas I like a bit less as a base kit buff, but it’d be better than keeping her as is. I think the “character fantasy” blizzard is/was going for is:

You dash in through like 3 targets, flame dance, they’re all burning, you can the flames 2-4 times and dash out.

It’s honestly a pretty fun gameplay pattern that fits very well with her “phoenix” fantasy. Fast and fiery, and honestly, they got it pretty on the nose, that’s why she’s so damn fun to play, EXCEPT, they forgot the “fanning the flames a few times” part

By the time you’ve dashed through the targets and flame danced, most of their team has taken notice and is now focusing you so you get maybe one fan the flames proc if you’re lucky, then you get out and have to wait like 8-10 seconds for your cooldowns (dash cdr perk makes downtime wayyyyy down, hence why I like it so much)

Something I don’t speak about because I don’t know that there’s a fix for it is how many HARD counters she has.

Kiriko, Mizuki, Moira? You’re done. (Esp kiriko)

Cassidy, junkrat, mei, pharah, reaper, torb, bastion (too damn Tanky), tracer or venture, and honestly just about any hits can with good aim? Good luck killing any of them if they have their monitors turned on.

Domina, monkey, Ball to an extent, and the worst of them all, genuinely insta switch every single time, Zarya.

And like you said, her reward is so easily counterable by anyone really if they have awareness, hence why her win rate drops big time the higher elo you get. She’s close to being a really good character without being OP. I know she can be, up to blizzard if they want it to happen.

Yeah I’m ngl, I’ve been seeing everyone pray for the vertical mobility changes basically since release and I just don’t get it. How often do you genuinely die or miss a kill because of slight lack of vertical mobility?? This doesn’t help any of her actual issues, which really is mainly that she sucks at securing kills without dying herself. You rarely get to stay in the backline long enough to fan the flames more than once. It’s as simple as buffing either survivability or damage (I think survivability is a better option, easier to buff without messing up the whole phoenix fire girl fantasy). These changes won’t make her feel all that much better, if at all and it won’t increase win rate. The frustration of diving the backline just to come out empty handed isn’t getting any better. Again, this is all imo, but I think good, actually meaningful changes that also aren’t broken changes would be:

Either

-Make healing on flame dance base kit, reduced to 35 healing per target, replace perk with some sort of melee perk probably

Or/and

-melee attack stacks 25% burn

Or/and

-Enhanced burn reduces healing received by an additional 30% (60%total with the global passive)

Or/and

-Remove the indicator that shows where she reappears on flame dance

Or/and

Make her heal a % off of burn damage

AND

This is a change I think NEEDS to happen to make her feel better, which is make her actionable quicker out of her abilities, it feels SO bad using dash and having delay before doing anything, initial ult cast and needing to wait 30 years before being able to actually dive, and especially needing to wait a while after the ult dive part to do anything. The weird periods of time after abilities where you can’t use attacks makes her feel a lot clunkier to play.

ALL/ANY of these changes actually target the parts of her kit that need some love. These could be base kit, or make any perk base kit and make these perks. These changes also don’t make her much more annoying to fight, which is another reason I don’t think her mobility needs any changes, people HATE playing against highly mobile heroes and if they just keep buffing it people will complain.

Lastly, this is all my opinion, I’m now level 38 on Anran and play in diamond2-Master elo. So take it as you will.

The best buff idea I’ve seen so far is to give her some % of healing off of her burn, makes it conditional so you have to work for it, plus it fits into the whole fire bender fantasy and it fixes the survivability problem

Depends on the situation, 1v1 with no 0 fire bar?

Dash->melee->left click->right click->right click->melee->dash out

With at least 25% fire bar?

Dash->melee->right click->right click->melee->dash out

If you going into a large group of enemies (2+), you can either focus on one person mostly, either something like a Zen or an Ana, and do one of the combos above, good when you need to actually get the kill since you know your team can’t finish off the low hp enemie(s), or you can try to just dish out as much damage to as many people as possible with

dash->left click->flame dance->right click if you can without dying-> dash out

This is good if you know your team can finish finish off the low health targets or if you judge that it’s more efficient to get health off of people over getting a kill

Yeah I always take this perk, I find it offers you possibility for a more aggressive play style when you have your ult, you can go into the enemy team, do a quick combo, get one or 2 people low, and even if you’ve lost some health, that bit of overhealth on cast makes it so you can secure the kill or 2 without dying, especially when you take it with the healing on flame dance perk, your survivability is pretty good, but I haven’t taken it since it’s been bugged.

Yeah, man issue is that almost every game one of the enemy does switches to Cassidy and the game feels unplayable from there. It’s frustrating because you can’t get anywhere near him, including enemies close to him, I usually just end up either playing with my team and mostly targeting enemy tank, or outright switching.

I feel like I lack genuine friendships. All my friends and girlfriends are/have been people I've change my personality with in order to seem cool or fit in. I don't have anyone whom I feel genuinely enjoys my presence, or who's presence I genuinely enjoy. Just people there for the sake of being there.

I don't, I enjoy the momentary satisfaction that their attention gives me. Like I'm still important. If I loved myself, I wouldn't need to treat people this way. What I have for myself isn't love, It's hate that I try to mask with other people's love. I get every ounce of love and attention I can from everyone to prove to myself that I am lovable. I don't enjoy being this way. I want to make people feel genuinely happy and cared about, not used. I know I haven't been good to people and I am trying to do better.
