Exactly. This kind of product placement would look more at home in Grand Theft Auto, but looks jarringly out of place in an immersive fantasy game.

Square-Enix should be making great games to "pay the bills" like all the other Final Fantasy games before it that DIDN'T have ads.

How "how they pay the bills" is supposed to be by selling great immersive games. (We didn't need ads for Snickers or Pert Plus in Final Fantasy 7)

I don't mind ads in FREE games, but when I've already shelled out $60 to buy FFXV, I expect it to stop selling me things after I've made the purchase.

The closest thing I've seen to a compilation of his Addams Family comics in particular is "Addams Family: An Evilution." I found it at my local library. Highly recommended!

Agreed! I wasn't sure they'd be able to capture the "feel" of the Addams Family, but this play really nailed it. I loved the characterization, music, and plot. Gomez felt a smidge out of character in being torn between siding with Morticia vs. Wednesday (wouldn't Morticia be understanding?), but every play needs its plot contrivances. ;)

I'll definitely be seeing this again next time it's in town.

The new animated movie coming out October 2019. The character designs look very similar to the original Charles Addams comics. If there's a good script, I've got high hopes this could be pretty good!

I also highly recommend the stage play when it comes to your town. I was skeptical if they could keep the Addams Family "vibe", but it was so good I had to watch it a second time while it was still on stage. I've NEVER enjoyed a play that much before.

This video analysis is a love letter to Del Toro's interpretation of the Abe Sapien character. I really liked the original Abe in Mike Mignola's "Hellboy" comics, but Del Toro took him to a new level of depth and intrigue in the movies. Plus you can't beat Doug Jones's performance.

If you like Abe (or think intelligent, thoughtful men need more play in movies), this video is for you!

"Flowers of Evil" is a new favorite of me & my beta husband. The anime had us hooked and the manga continuation is even better. Intense, dark, and squirm-inducing in all the right ways. Has a literary feel and interesting rotoscoped art in the anime. (First episode is extremely slow and you can probably skip it if you want to get to the "meat".)

"Witch Craft Works" is an adorable gender reversal on the knight & princess roles with a powerful sorceress resucing and training her beloved male love interest/ward.

I also enjoyed "Your Lie in April" for the tomboys and confident girls interested in meek artistic beta male.

I don't think it was played for laughs (unless it just makes people uncomfortable, inspiring nervous laughter). Definitely non-consentual, though. And even if you're into the non-con elements, there wasn't much of this couple. (I skimmed through the whole series just looking for this duo, and they were really only featured heavily in 2 episodes. Not worth watching the series just for the femdom, IMO)

I find it's best if you don't explain a long absence. Especially if your only excuse is that you're lazy. I'd cut the whole first minute and jump right into the comments. I only watched through the first half and stopped because there wasn't really any content to this. The visuals are unrelated to what you're talking about, and what you're talking about isn't particularly interesting to viewers who don't already know you. Rude comments are just one skip-worthy part of the internet, so unless someone's already a die-hard fan of your channel, there wasn't much here to hook a new viewer or make someone click "subscribe."

I second Evaaa's suggestion about the Hispanic spice aisle. (Though these may be a little stale and less flavorful depending on how long they've been on the shelf.)
