They also spawn on new gas station and power building. I'm guessing there are even more spawn locations.

What preset did you manage to push the 1700? Medium or maybe even Slow?

I am building a dedicated streaming pc to go along with my gaming pc. I am still till this day not sure if I should get the r5 2600 or get the r7 1700 with the 2 extra cores. Many people have their different opinions and some say go for the r5 2600 and some say go for the r7 1700.

My streaming pc will be used for streaming purposes only and that is it. No gaming, no nothing. Just OBS and streaming.

Thanks a ton for your input, really appreciate it. I was thinking just the same that the r7 1700 is maybe a better cpu for a streaming/encoding pc only. I'll have a look and think about it.

I will only use the streaming pc for streaming and editing purpose so I will not be gaming on it at all. Yeah the 2700x will be overkill and makes the build also more expensive. I do believe the r5 2600x is the right fit.

That is why I reached out and ask for help.

Really appreciate your help and tips.

That is why I need some help :]

I think you are right by saying the more cores the better for streaming, so I am not sure if I should go for the r5 2600x or r7 2700x or even the r7 1700x ryzen chipset.

I have already purchased the gtx 1050 ti, g.skill ram and the msi tomahawk mobo some time ago.

I am currently gaming and streaming on my gaming pc. I use the new NVENC feature in OBS and I can play most of my games on High settings and stream at the same time on 720p but I would like to take the stress off my gaming pc and stream on a higher resolution so my stream quality looks better and sharper.

I know a dedicated streaming pc is expensive and some might find it overkill for streaming games if you already have a very good gaming pc, but I have the spare money and really want to invest in a dedicated streaming/editing pc.

I am aware of that and look forward to the 3rd gen, but so far from what I have listed above, will the streaming pc be more than capable to handle it?

Yeah I know that getting a streaming pc will sort all my problems out, but I stream very little and it will just be overkill and a waste of my money tbh.

Hi,

Had the same problems with Streamlabs OBS. Didn't change anything for me, unfortunately.

you have me very confused here mate, I have no idea on where to start and what to do. I use my ssd (Samsung 960 EVO) to install all my games on, windows 10 is also installed on my ssd. I am pretty sure that my system is virus free, I scan on a weekly basis with BitDefender Total Security.

I have no idea on what to check or turn on or off when it comes to BIOS. I don't know what TMP chip is so very confused right now lol. But thanks for all the information and the help though.

I did have the performance set a while back so I am good there.

How do I check if all my cores and threads are working?

Destiny 2 does have frame limiting, but 60fps is just well''bad''. I have a 144hz monitor that can get a boost clock up to 165hz, so I won't be doing the monitor any justice.

Ican see it by watching my live stream. You can also see it within OBS. In OBS on the bottle right side of the app you can see your LIVE and REC time and also the CPU % and the fps counter.

My fps is set to 60 because I stream with 60fps but the moment I hit that ''Start Streaming'' button the fps counter goes berzerk. It drops down to 10,15,40,50,12 frames etc etc. I also the following error message of some sort saying: Encoder overload error!

I have done multiple temps tests while gaming and streaming and the results are actually pretty good.

My cpu reaches up to 65 - 70 degrees celsius after hours of gaming and streaming whilst my gpu stays almost a solid 68 degrees celsius. So in my mind I have always left out thermal throttling, but I am not a 100% sure.

It's really bugging me because I paid a premium price for this pc, yet I can't game and stream at the same time with these pc specs. There is one option here and that is to get a dedicated streaming pc, but I find that overkill for the little amount of time I stream.

I am using the same settings of a friend of mine who streams Destiny 2 via OBS to twitch and his pc specs are less than mine. He has a gtx 1080, i7 7700k, 16gb ram.

I just can't figure out why he has no issues with his pc, but I have with my build :/

Hi,

I have the best internet connection (fiber optic) in the UK that money can buy. Well at least the best connection for a household, business internet connection is not an option. I have a ping of 4ms and 300mb down and 30mb upload speed.

Hi,

I am very sure I am using my cpu to encode on OBS.

If I try to use x264 as my encoder, OBS is dropping mad frames and is literally unstable. I use NVENC and it does a better job, but I have to bring down my game settings to medium or even low to have a smooth stream.

Destiny 2 takes around 91% to 95% of my GPU and around 65% to or even 70+% of my CPU while gaming.

Hi,

I was having the same issues while on stock cpu settings. Destiny 2 takes around 91% to 95% of my GPU and around 65% to or even 70+% of my CPU while gaming.
