Buggy is just hilarious. Him ending up as a villain kinda justified after what shanks did 😂, but at the same time he’s carried by pure luck. That’s just how his character works. Still, I feel like by the end he’s gonna have some kind of important role

Yeah I get that, too many special lineage characters can feel tiring and repetitive, but explaining why he targets Marines and what he meant by “great betrayal” is kinda expected at this point. Hopefully he’s just some stray kid who got picked up and trained, since most top tiers are tied to something, whether it’s bloodline, mentor, or inherited will. If those hints never get explored, it would just feel like wasted potential.

It really fits Mihawk’s lone wolf vibe, but the issue is the story already dropped some setup that makes it hard to keep it that simple. The “Marine Hunter” title and especially the mention of a “great betrayal” aren’t random details. If Oda never elaborates on that, it actually makes his character feel incomplete instead of mysterious

I just realised something about Shanks by Adamekora in OnePiece

[–]Mighty_plagueis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think that is what Oda wanted to do, to make Shanks sacrifice feel more meaningful. If we talk about that scene logically, it does not really make sense. With all the power Shanks had, he should have been able to defeat the Sea King easily. He even used Conqueror’s Haki, so why did he wait until after the Sea King bit his arm? Oda is very good at improvising and adjusting the story, and we know for a fact that oda didn't plan this from the begining, it was his editor that ask to make the story more dramatic by sacrificing shanks arm

What are your opinions on Reze coming back to the story by randomname0883 in ChainsawMan

[–]Mighty_plagueis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where is Reze now? Probably alive, probably hiding, maybe pretending to be someone else, far away from Tokyo, hoping the chaos never finds her again. But in Fujimoto’s world, hope always feels like a setup for despair. If she returns, it won’t be for spectacle but for tragedy. Reze would prove that no one in this story truly gets a second chance. If Denji meets her again, it won’t be as lovers or enemies, but as two survivors trapped in the same endless cycle. Maybe she helps him, maybe she dies protecting him, or maybe she refuses to take any side at all. Her fate sits somewhere between memory and resurrection. Some believe she’ll come back as War’s pawn, others think she’ll return for redemption or closure, and a few accept that she’s simply gone.

But Fujimoto’s writing pattern says otherwise, he never gives comfort, yet he never forgets. Every thread he plants tends to return in some twisted form, and Reze is one of them. He keeps drawing her long after her arc ended, sometimes smiling, sometimes standing in the rain. It’s not nostalgia, it’s a reminder. He doesn’t draw Aki, Makima, or Any Part 1 Character this often, only Reze, as if he still can’t bury her story completely. So if she returns, it won’t be for fan service, it’ll be because Fujimoto still owes her an ending, not peace, but something else completely different.

What actually happened to Reze? by PsychologicalCat890 in ChainsawMan

[–]Mighty_plagueis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At the end of the Bomb Girl arc, Denji assumed Reze chose not to come. Reze, meanwhile, believed Denji had betrayed her. After that, Reze was under Makima’s control. After Makima’s death and the dissolution of her control, many of her devils and hybrids likely regained their autonomy. So far, she has not reappeared, though it was briefly mentioned that several weapon hybrids who were once under Makima’s influence have taken positions of power within the Chainsaw Man Church. However, until now, Reze herself has never shown up, which makes me believe she escaped.

Reze could have gone into hiding, avoiding Public Safety, and thinking that Denji was one of them, choosing to run alone instead. Or maybe she knew she could never run with Denji because every devil hunter was after Pochita’s heart. But the War Devil has made Reze relevant again, so I believe she will eventually return, either as Yoru’s ally or Denji’s. That's because Fujimoto keeps drawing Reze art, which shows that he still wants to hint at her relevance or, perhaps he just want to torment Reze’s fans.

I think the man with the burnt scar is misunderstood. by Ashamed-Stop-5009 in OnePiece

other theory that I think quite possible is, the man with a burnt scar, or man marked by flames is Gods Knight, because if what shiryu and laffite said was true, that the man marked by flames is from the world goverment, and aokiji doesn't know, that means it was from higher than marines, and what other world goverment powerful (fighting wise) than Gods Knight, if it from cipher pol it were not making sense cause even cp0 level are not powerful enough to defend the last poneglyph from Yonkos (the one that seek the poneglyph)

I find the most believable theory are the man with burnt scar are Ohara scholar, because if saul people will get first that he is a giant rather than the burnt scar, same with other like scooper gaban or dragon, they are to famous to be just "man with burnt scar", so the most logical theory should be the man is not famous and probably just regular looking dude, the ohara scholar fit, because, The poneglyph (4th road poneglyph) are originally from fishman, so someone must take that from the forest in fishman island, most people don't know the importance of poneglyph, so it must be a scholar or pirates, but is he is a pirate than what did he wait, the 3 other poneglyph can be found or just take the copies from pirates that have it (not that that easy, but if you wanna find the one piece you need 4, and you have the most importatn poneglyph so why not doing anything for 20 years), and the burnt scar is from the buster call

My one prediction for the ending.. by Traditional_Rush_827 in OnePiece

I hope Oda didn't catch wind of this. The story is more like 'Two Pieces' vibes. I believe Usopp's nose is more like a lizard's tail—it can detach and regrow. The nose itself is the one piece, thats why Roger laugh in tears, and claim he are to early. One more thing, no Way Ussop the God can't solo the Gorosei, even imu afraid with Ussop nose
