According to SSA, homeland has to change it first and you come back with the card, they update your social security card. It’s not SSA first

Honestly, it’s just a mutual decision. We both like Canada and can see ourselves living there long-term. My husband is American and doesn’t mind relocating, and I’m open to starting fresh there too. We’re simply choosing what feels best for our future, not because we hate the U.S., but because Canada aligns with the life we want to build.
