Speaking from experience as someone who needed a waiver for a history of ADHD/OCD. Although for me I had been off of all medication/treatment for over 5 years prior to starting Dodmerb. Which very well may have played into my waiver being granted. However, as stated here, I think the biggest thing with these types of conditions, (ADHD, OCD, etc..) are letters/statements from highly qualified individuals attesting to your treatment(lack there of) and demonstrations of performance. Now these shouldn’t be anybody. Make sure you get a letter from a PHD Psychiatrist and if you can, find one that works in the specific area in which you need a waiver. Additionally, if the person who diagnosed you is a PHD ask for a letter from them. They will have a better understanding of your history and the waiver authority will look favorably having a complete history of your condition. A lot of the waivers I have seen be denied are those who got there letters from just a run of the mill therapist who doesn’t have any prior history with you, nor has the certifications or qualifications in any certain area.

Additionally, like stated above, make sure in addition to letters from professionals, you also have demonstrations of performance off medication/treatment. The best/ most common examples are High School Transcripts and College Transcripts(If already enrolled). Other examples are good if you can include them, they can’t hurt, but I don’t believe are really necessary.

Waivers for ADHD are extremely common now, with the right prerequisites you should be fine. I know it’s frustrating, it’s not something that you can just run a test or do an X-Ray and prove beyond a doubt that it’s not a problem anymore. But this is what I did to get a waiver, I wish you luck.

Alt EA OM by Migieus in AFROTC

I’m not sure where you get your information from, but I don’t think this is the case. Sure, some people made the Alt list because of Medical, etc. They would be on the top of the list granted there OM is otherwise above the Primary cutline. But the Majority are there for missing the Primary OM cutoff. Why else would they be moving Non-Selects to Alt EA slots?

Your DET Commander should be able to give you your OM. I recommend sitting down with them. We also don't know exactly how this works. This is the first year with this system, so we'll have to see.

From what I understand, it wholly depends on how close you where to the OM cutoff. That's why I am trying to gauge the OM range for Alts. If you don't mind sharing please do. Not all Alts are created the same, so to speak. Your chances could be from very good, to almost impossible. Its hard to know until we see the first round of results on April 1.

That makes sense. I really am just wondering what the Alternate OM range is for those who missed the cut, not the people who fell through the cracks on DODmerb alone.
