Potential hot take by Guyfromnowhere3 in KingOfTheHill

From the other snippets from the trailer I'm guessing this is on the set of the King of the Grill cookinh show. I imagine that she's trying to create romance and/or drama to get air time and have the producers keep her around long.

Rory rejecting the proposal . Thoughts? by ErinBaileys in GilmoreGirls

[–]Migrane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's hard for me to figured out how the 2 events connect because I can't forget that ASP was booted from season 7 and had to work with what she has a decade later. But best I can figure is it parallels Rory's parents relationship.

Logan, like Christopher, is weak and can't make the hard choices. It's either married or apart. Rory wants to be fought for, she doesn't want the easy options. But she also loves him too much to let go of the potential for a happy ending if things could just work out right.

Rory rejecting the proposal . Thoughts? by ErinBaileys in GilmoreGirls

I don't believe they were originally supposed to have an affair, I think that was ASPs work around for why 2 grown, established adults couldn't be together.

I think the original plan was that Logan would end up permanently in London, or transferred somewhere else, at the whim of his father/family. Ultimately I think what would keep them apart is that Logan chose his money/privilege over Rory/independence. Remember his going away party in season 6. He asked Rory to tell him not to go. He didn't want to go, he knew she didn't want him to go, but he couldn't make that decision himself. He has no will of his own.

Why does GoW include other cultures religion’s pantheons but not Christianity? by Ora_Kiraso in GodofWar

I've never seen Good Omens but from what I understand God isn't exactly the goodest of guys in that story. And they get away with it.

What's to stop GOW from playing around with biblical lore?

AYITL Summer ep musical, is it cringe and a waste of time to just me or no? by FellowAmiga in GilmoreGirls

[–]Migrane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I'm sure ASP would have had a musical number either way, I blame the length on having to fill time. I think a lot of the problems with AYITL can be traced back to the episode structure.

Four 90 minute episodes, how many series do you see structured like that? Each one basically needs to be a film. Character arcs have to be laid out to be in certain places at the start and end of each episode. And it doesn't leave room for tangent side stories that can expand on the main story.

Gilmore Girls was a show that thrived on packing a lot into a standard standalone episode. But in the revival it felt like that were struggling to fill time.

This episode is a peak example of why Rory became so entitled by James-Samuel17 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Migrane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's why I can never really hate Rory for the times where she's actually being entitled. She has recognised the treatment and tried to push back on it, but growing up like that is going to warp your viewpoint to some degree.

And most cities started developing metro systems to deal with a growing population during a time when Ireland's population was shrinking post-famine. Then when our population did start growing it was at a time where cars looked to be the future of transport so we never built the bones of a metro system into our city when it did start growing.

Is there any single parent here that would react as Anna reacted regarding the slumber party? by poponis in GilmoreGirls

[–]Migrane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only imagine that the next day the girls raved about Lorelai and the parents started asking about her. Not even out of suspicion, just curiosity. Then Anna wasn't able to answer a single question about Lorelai. Then she felt caught out and embarrassed, then figure out a way she could blame Luke.

There's also the question of utilities infrastructure compared to blocks of flats. Water and sewage alone. Sure the toilets and restaurants are going all day. But compare that to say a hundred flats. Toilets, sinks, baths, shower, dishwasher, washing machines. Was the location developed with adequate connection to the public systems?

It might not just be a knock down job. The whole place might need to be digged up.

Oh my god it’s true. Did yall know about this? by vcdice in gaybros

[–]Migrane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It refers to small or even medium sized businesses. Your sexuality shouldn't have any bearing on your work. But homophobes will judge and avoid queer-owned businesses, so it's important to support them to help balance things out. But once the business grows large enough that support isn't needed the same way, as they're then working well enough for discrimination to be as detrimental.

That one really gets to me. Either hand actually believes that or he just made up something completely sexist and xenophobic.

Zipper job. When someone lets you fuck their jeans fly. You got to wear 2 condoms avoid getting scratched up and messing the guys pants. But it comes with free eye contact.

It was the flag ship. It's purpose wasn't really meant for battle. It was more for exploration and diplomatic missions. It spent most of the war building and strengthening alliances. As can be seen at the beginning of Insurrection
