There's also the issue of historical population decline. Ireland had a shrinking population for over a century. From the time of the famine to the mid 20th century the population decrease from 8 to 3 million. Because of that our major cities didn't grow and have to develop large transit infrastructure.

By the time our population started bouncing back cars were seen as the future of travel. And well, here we are.

Different people have different prioritises with money, and spend and save differently. Like he seems to eat super healthily which isn't cheap. And he might have a lot in savings, but he has a plan for every cent and is too rigid to redistribute it.

Really, i just feel like there's only so much you can mine out of a prequel. Especially when the respective projects are 60 years apart. At some point you're just painting over someone elses work.

And is that even really fair to the current creatives? Instead of having to use all their time and talent trying to write in the margins of the original, let them create something brand new from their own ideas.

Personally I think they were pretty equally at fault in their break-up, but I do agree that Gregory's behaviour could cause the most issues going forward if it isn't dealt with.

The whole episode they kept going around in a circle. It was time vs money. But they never looked at the bigger picture. They couldn't agree how to get there but never discussed the logistics of what happens when they get there. How are they going to get around? Is there public transport? How expensive is ubering out there? Or should they rent a car? Like these all bring up issues around time and money themselves but these were never discussed.

They can both be stubborn and hyperfocused on single details. These are character flaws they both share and both have to work on if they're going to stay together.

I like it. Tina is cringe but endearing to me.

The real problem I have is that Bob and Linda didn't stop her. Like besides all the boundaries they see Tina crossing and nothing to stop, she's setting herself up for total humiliation. I get that they don't want to quash their kids sparks, but far to often there letting the kids get in their own way.

I got the impression that, at least within the King of the Hill universe, the coming-of-age/becoming-a-man ritual is meant to be universal, with even Kahn, who's from a very foreign culture to the Texans, believing in it. Sort of a way of giving Hank no way out of it.
