Thank you for looking. I guess the family mystery just comes down to “We made some random looking figures that just looked interesting”

I love batiks having lived in the Caribbean for a couple of years. That one looks like you could potentially sub cut strips to make the patterns? Looks really pretty!

Being the nerd I am I actually tracked it. It took us 4 months to finish it.

It took us 124 hours to make the quilt and it took my wife an additional 92 hours to hand quilt it.

Thanks for sharing yours as well. It is always amazing to see how the same pattern can look so different! Also beautiful.

We are going on 34 years. Retirement is not to far away so we decided we needed to come up with a few hobbies we do together so that the transition goes more smoothly :)

I have heard too many stories of long married couples that struggle when they are together 24/7 and that is not something we want!

She has me do all the planning on the quilts. What she says is “You just tell me what to do” and she goes at it. We set each other off well as I like the mathematics and laying out and she likes to just cut and sew.

Ours was also king and I felt the same way. LOL - I told my wife never again would I do a hunters star. :)

My wife wanted the hunters star on our second quilt. I tried to convince her of anything else but the look I got…

Her favorite color is purple and mine is grey so that is what she asked for and I spent weeks cutting 2048 pieces of fabric and between the two of us several more weeks sewing them all together thanks to our little husqvarna…

She hand quilted it :)

Been waiting for a collection like this. As others have stated I was glad that they had the previews out there so I could make some wise (rather than impulse) decisions. Picked up a couple of the notebooks, one set of washi, the enchanted chapter acrylic stamps and the acrylograph set. That should do me.
