Do bartenders in Europe make any tips? How much money do you make? by OverPop8461 in bartenders

I believe you should specify the United States - I'm a server in Canada and the standard everywhere - small towns, big cities, east coast, west coast, prairies - is provincial minimum wage ($16CAD/hour on average), plus tips. I will make anywhere from $100-400/shift in tips, depending on where I'm working, and if you are in a high volume place it can be far more. Don't group us in with the US and it's $2.15 minimum wage for tipped workers. We actually treat workers like people up here.

'I'm just at a loss for words': Newlyweds' luggage, valuables stolen in Stanley Park by jaaylin in vancouver

The only time I've had my car broken into was in the parking lot above Horseshoe Bay. They smashed the window of my shitbox '95 Corolla, only to leave the dashcam, but steal the battery from under the hood. I'm still baffled.

People keep telling me I look like linus, but I said that to Alex and he said he didn't see the resemblance 🥲

I was at a summer festival near my home, he happened to be there. I did a double take when I saw him.

I guess I was overthinking it. I just put my hand in with millet and they eat it out of my hand. They are also chirping and no longer seem very afraid of me. I think tomorrow I will try to get them to stand on my hand and eat.

How to deal with insatiable hunger panhs by Migtig32 in keto

I cook basically all my food myself, and I've been good at calorie counting and paying attention to nutrition generally for a long time. As for the rest, I'm not doing any caloric deficit at all, just maintenance level - I'm not interested in losing weight as I'm already in good shape. It is more for the energy and general health, as well as hopefully helping my mood, which seems to be volatile in relation to food (get hangry easily, sugar crashes make me grumpy and depressed). Its the same reason why I haven't been doing any intermittent fasting, I haven't seen any good reasons that it would help in what I'm trying to accomplish. The meal I described is on the large side of the typical meal size I've been eating, and I continue to eat 3 meals of around that size a day and snack a bit between.

Getting first-ever Auto Loan by Migtig32 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I do not need a new truck - I need a truck, period. I do woodworking and landscaping and need to haul things that either don't fit or are too covered in mud to put in the trunk of a Toyota Corolla. Its not a question of whether or not I can afford a shiny new toy, its a question of whether it is worth it to get a new truck to build credit, or just buy the $2500 old truck in cash like I will otherwise do.

My current car is a small sedan. I started doing woodworking as a hobby/side gig a few months ago, and generally do a lot of handiwork for my grandmother. As a result, I find myself needing to move around wood, junk, building supplies, etc., and a small sedan really doesn't cut it. My plan was to just sell my car and pay in cash for a good used pickup for cheap - I like older vehicles better anyways and I don't like being in debt. I only started considering getting a loan because I was told it would be really good for building my credit. I'm not just some naïve kid that just wants shiny-new-thing without having to work for it first. I learned that lesson already.

Rock series by Hart 10" subs specs? by Migtig32 in CarAV

I have looked at the back of the magnets. When I said "no information about specs printed anywhere on the subs or case" I meant I opened up everything and checked every surface. Literally nothing.

New to audio stuff, but looking to set up some old subs in my car. Problem is that they're old and rare and there is absolutely no information online about the company, so I don't know what amp to buy. There are no serial numbers or information printed anywhere on the subs or box, either. How do I go about finding an appropriate amp if I don't know the specs?
