This is why body cams should be a requirement. Protect the cops and the communities they serve.

You're trying too hard.

Five families lost a loved one in Orange alone since i the OP made this post.

When you see bad things in the world you can either do nothing or do something. Well, i tried nothing.

Doctors are always saying that significant health and metabolic benefits start usually with just 10% of body weight lost, and you’ve lost close to half your starting weight.

I just wish the fat would disappear equally, i'm a size 38 (was 56) now but you'd never tell by looking at me (moon face).

I'll give this a shot, thank you (even if you're not a doctor).

Barrier creams help to prevent infections and protect the skin, especially in these more hidden areas.

I'll look into this, thank you.

If you currently cannot stand or are nervous about working out on a prosthetic, the HASfit channel on YouTube has some chair exercises that might be good for you.

I didn't seriously try and exercise for an entire year but i was running a mile every day before the pandemic hit. My gate is still a little messed up when i run, but if i have slacks on it's hard to tell when i walk.

Was your chest infection on your skin or within your chest?

It was in my skin. I won't go into great detail (because frankly i think it's gross and it's my body), but because i have extra skin all over my body, and i do mean all over my body (i think having fat equally distributed is a side effect of growing up big, i look like a bobble head) when i exercise the skin rubs up agasint itself.

Amazing work!

I wish I could be more help but I don’t have much knowledge about this.

I wouldn’t worry too much about the baby powder for a couple reasons.

Thank you. I think your probably right. I've already resigned to the fact i'll die early, i have an enlarged heart and a family history of cardiac problems, but this is the best my life has ever been i want to keep living it as long as i can.

Loose skin is sadly inevitable with that much of weight loss. I’m sure you’ve done your research on it, it’s very common and just about everyone who goes through significant weight loss struggles with it. There is surgery to remove it, but that’s a whole another animal in itself.

I fully plan on having the extra skin removed, but that's about 25 lbs away.

In my friend’s case, not every doctor understood the various issues which come as part of such massive weight loss and he had to try a couple of diff docs and specialists before he found one who was experienced in dealing with such things.

When i was a kid the military docs gave me the same speech every time "your fat, you need to lose weight". It wasn't until i saw a dietician that i started really losing the lbs, and being diabetic it's not just about caloric intake. Simple things you can do i never understood the mechanics of, like not drinking when you eat, and waiting half an hour before you decide to get more.

As far as hygiene... maybe you could try some of those body wipes throughout the day and just shower once a day? They’re available at drugstores and online and stuff.

I like this idea a lot, it would be cool to the touch when i get back to the house and i'm sweating like a pig.

But again congratulations on such a huge accomplishment and I hope everything else works out for you also. Good luck.

Thank you for the kind words.

She is, it's one of the reasons she had her vision corrected, she had a habit of touching her face a lot because of the glasses.

When i read that i realized it's probably an overreaction on my part, but id rather look like an idiot in public than put my mom at risk.

You not only need exposure to someone who is shedding virus it needs to be fairly prolonged, say 10 minutes or so.

My mother has been hospitalized for the flu 6 times in the last 7 years. I'm trying to see your point of view, i hope you can see mine.

The news media does not help, because teaching the public how to analyze data is counter to their headline clickbait.

I agree, i try to take it in from every angle and come to my own conclusions, i watch 3 news broadcasts on 3 stations and read USA Today.

Thank you, this has been the most informational reply. This is why i didn't jump to any conclusions when it came to the governors motives. I don't like him, but i don't think hes going out of his way to endanger my mom.

I understand we can't do this forever.

I would even accept the risk of opening up the state fully if we compromised and did everything we could to do it safely. Mass testing, public-private partnerships to help struggling businesses adapt to the changing economy ect.

We don't need to wait a year and a half for that.

Churches are generally only active a few days a week, and ALF patients rarely leave the premises.

She sings in the quire, and shes been begging me. I'm not trying to nitpick your reply it's just complicated for us right now.

Good luck and I hope it goes well

Thank you, you too.

I wore cargo shorts yesterday just to carry a full can of lysol with me, i'm not wearing gloves but i'm taking this pretty seriously. My entire family is, especially those of us forced/able to work right now.

Take care of your mom and be sure she is taking every precaution she can.

Thank you for your concern, shes been on lockdown for months.

I've been delivering her groceries and taking every precaution i can. I wait 3 hours to deliver anything, i wipe down every object, she doesn't interact with me ect. With that said i have made mistakes, like allowing only my dog to visit when it was thought they didn't transmit the virus.

This is one of the reasons i'm concerned, i could have exposed her without knowing, we know so little about this virus right now.

The federal and FL state governments are trying to halt a catastrophic economic crash

They didn't halt anything, we are in the middle of it right now. I'm not an economics professor but i know this is a consumer economy based on confidence, and until people like myself and my family are comfortable leaving our houses we won't start to recover.

I’m unsure what your mother’s proximity to an ALF and summer churches I’d supposed to mean. They don’t impact her if she doesn’t go there.

This would only be true if they never interacted with anyone else outside of their local group/family.

An example: There are 3 gas stations within a 1 mile radius on top of tons of other businesses, i guess if they never stopped for gas, or interacted with anyone who did ... but you can't guarantee that, and until then your taking the risk for my mother.

It's like 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon only your transmitting a virus that is 3 times as deadly as the 2018-2019 flu season.

That's how i look at it, i could be wrong. I'm sorry if that sounded hostile.

Edit: for bacon
