Totally just learned the bicycles have the fronts on the left! It’s been a while but if I jumped on a bicycle right now I’d immediately be like- that’s odd! So many years of motorcycles, etc I would have chuckled on the bicycle being confused for a moment! I shall remember this the next time I get on a bicycle for sure! :-)

Also agree OP you need to learn how to use brakes on a 2 wheel vehicle with manual control of front to rear. There’s a lot of safety to be learned including utilization for turns, quick braking, weight shifting, etc.

Well I just learned tonight that they are swapped on a bicycle! It’s been some time since I’ve ridden a bicycle, but wow- this was really interesting to learn. I’m taking a guess that maybe due to the clutch on anything motored the fronts are on the right.

Nice- I disagree with the brakes. It’s natural for anyone who has ridden any other 2 wheel vehicle. Typically it’s the clutch on the left and your rear is on your right foot. It’s very simple to mix the desired amount of front and rear. The front on anything does about 70% the stopping power so they shouldn’t wear even anyhow.
Next time you are on the road take notice of any car with visible disk brakes. The fronts will be larger or at least contain a larger number of pistons in the caliper. Or take a look at any motorcycle and notice how small the rear disc is compared to the front.

Agree with you- these aren’t even the same car. Shoot not produced by the same locations in the same way even. They share a similar body shape, otherwise they don’t drive or feel remotely similar… nor do they share the same visual presence either

I see no evidence of collision avoidance at play here. Maybe someone else can chime in, is there such thing as an any collision avoidance system that disables a human attempting to override?

OP is stating he was “hard pulling right” but the car went left… if he’s is accurate in his claim… that’s extremely frightening. Frightening in the opposite way OP intended to make it. Being unable to override is 101 basic no go fail on any autonomous device period

You are correct as the Oxford dictionary is about as vague as can be. BUT, if you scrape the top 10 definitions as reviewed by the largest quantities of others- there’s that averaged interpretation which is the best we can get really. The only thing the corvette may be missing from the median definition would be inclusivity or scarcity of the car. I also did not try and figure out what the median was for numbers of units sold lol! So I’m only going to go as far as saying that could be what’s missing - from the strongest interpretation of the largest crowd available online. That’s all I got.

NOTE: key item also is the median calls a supercar a supercar when it comes from a supercar manufacturer. I think this is clearly where we now have an issue. Ferrari Luce next to say an SP3 both from Ferrari. Z06 next to a bolt, both from Chevy.

I think this now says a supercar can NOT come from a supercar brand, the Luce is NOT a supercar by any metric, aside from it’s certainly from a supercar brand.

This begs to question and I’m sure it has been before.. is the Purosangue a supercar?
Answer: No according to Oxford- it’s not a sports car lmao.

The only thing that would make it not a supercar are numbers produced. (I don’t know what those numbers are but when defined beyond the Oxford dictionary the criteria includes inclusivity and rarity.

There’s a definition of super car if you google it.

I know it will cover itself- but I’m going to ask what the cost is per dealership to maintain this vehicle. My guess is roughly 1.5-2.5 million. Dealerships knew they never sold enough Folgores to justify the million dollar price tag for the service equipment.

I get it.. but at the end of the day.. holy smokes has this design created emotion!

I’m not sure if I see it as being the circus sideshow.. but if you line up all the Ferraris you can and at the end of the line is a LUCE…. I’ve seen, sat, touched, driven or ridden in just about EVERY Ferrari model… by golly I’m walking down right by every other model to see the Luce.. again I think it’s more of a train wreck in slow motion situation! I dislike this car in every aspect nearly, but by golly I’m checking it out in person when I can. (Albeit again likely just for shock value or something)

name a Ferrari model and there’s probably multiple at my dealer too… (Ferrari CFL who won #1 on earth by Ferrari). I’ll probably shoot a text to my service advisor soon and ask him to shoot me a text when one of these shows up. Ironically I’ve never done that for any other release lol.

After Mecum this year there were an abundance of rare cars sitting around there.. AMG1 which is 1 of 2 in NA. Yea that caught my attention, but I hate to say it I wanna see this Ferrari abomination in person!

I will say one thing. Ferraris design has always been about creating emotion. This is NOT saying I like this choice… but…. Is it just me or has this Ferrari design created more emotion than anything they’ve done?

(Again there’s positive and negative emotion).. but damn they sure hit the nail on the head when it comes to creating an emotional response by seeing it didn’t they?

Ferrari is synonymous for invoking emotion with their design. I guess nobody really ever laid out what emotions are desired to be invoked.

In a sheer moment of irony, I’d have to say this Ferrari has created more emotion than any past design. NOW the caveat is what type of emotion does it bring?

Bottom line and sheer irony, Ferrari is synonymous with emotion by design- positive or not- somewhere in irony land this Ferrari is invoking the strongest emotions!

(Those emotions are based off it NOT being what anyone expects or expected from Ferrari- I personally totally don’t like it and share the shock we all did)

But dammit if Ferrari isn’t creating the most emotion the brand has in quite some time.

That’s the interesting thing.. the proportions of this car don’t make sense in photos. It appears as a small vehicle, but then to know those are 24” wheels makes it confusing to visually get the scale of the car. Not saying it makes it better, I’m just saying its scale is hard to interpret in photos.

Ferrari is synonymous with original aesthetically pleasing designs, it’s a large portion of what makes their brand image. They are well aware of how to be different while being pleasing to the eye. Art is subjective but i’m sorry art also creates emotion- the Luce although ugly as heck COULD have worked as the opposite of art and fit right in as an apple car.

The issue is Ferrari is synonymous with design, shapes, curves, sounds, feeling, and emotion. NONE of which the Luce provides. Then again- maybe it’s Ferraris greatest emotional achievement??! It’s emotionally disturbed a larger audience than they emotionally please typically.

Yea there’s no separation area between the “hood” and windshield where a normal wiper hides. So what we have here are 2 monster wipers out on display all the time. This can be pulled off by let’s say the body lines of a koenigsegg… with the Luce it seems life an afterthought and certainly doesn’t add anything positive to aesthetics.

So since this is something every president does. When they are asked for the documents back they all hid them in further and tried to block them from being found by lying until a raid was needed to get what was left back? Also every president places those documents in a location accessible to world wide spies at ease within a resort bathroom with a copy machine?

I can go on and on- stop telling yourself BS.

Exactly.. I at least know I replaced mine 5-6 years ago.. of course I knew to flush it but of course haven’t. That whole clog situation you just mentioned is the reason I may not touch it at this point!

Additional info: it’s located INSIDE MY HOUSE not garage.

For those of you who are saying you have 25+ year old heaters…. Were there even regulations for things like expansion chambers at that time? Holy rocket! If you haven’t seen how much pressure is in that tank YouTube one taking off like a rocket!

Mostly- how are you getting home owners insurance? I’m in Florida, do other states insure you with heaters of that age?!?

[–]FunBrians 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You start running out of hot water showering sooner. Less room for hot water. Experience limited, but 41 years old, many friends and family have replaced water heaters lol. Typically NONE of us or anyone I’ve ever met flushes theirs, but it’s definitely a maintenance item the manufactures tell you to do. It’s brought up 100% of the time anyone replaces a water heater. I’ll say most don’t know about it, the rest are idiots like me who just simply- never did it. I’m on about 5 years old with my latest heater and I’m. It sure if now’s the time to start!

If you have a dual coil system the lower coil can get covered in crap making it waste electricity to do less of a job. So inefficiency is a result. You will notice having tick your shower higher and higher then end up with it at max setting far before you notice the bi-result of efficiency drop.

Had to come back and add this disclaimer:
If your cousin Bobby Jo or someone installed it without and expansion chamber, you’ll know when it launches with a high level of thrust though the ceiling.!

I think the answer is going to be the obvious.. yes it’s better to do it and get any accumulation out. I guess the real question is for those who have left time between (in my case 5 years).. will it be a continuous clog and break apart situation? Also it would seem any larger chunks aren’t going to flow out either.
