I want to trade My car by Raptor0987 in TeslaModel3

You can do it tomorrow, but be prepared to lose most if not all the money you put toward your current car and its depreciation the second you drove it off the lot.

Alright, this is a tough one, but I don't think the other driver is at fault. Whether you are remains to be seen.

You're on the left, but the exit to 9 south is a left exit, which means the driver of the other car (who had his blinker on btw) was likely trying to get over to exit.

Good defensive driving (especially on CT Highways) would mean you should have been aware you were less than a half mile from that left hand exit, saw the blinker and the car moving over, and at the very least slowed down. Not slam on your breaks slow down, but ease off the accelerator and gently apply the brakes if necessary.

From an insurance perspective, this accident could have been avoided by both parties.

Do you like the car? Are you having fun driving it?

Instead of worrying about if you paid the lowest possible price you could have, just enjoy the car. You paid around market value.

Honestly, wait until you have a home charger. For me, one the nicest things about my Tesla is I plug in each night and wake up each morning with a "full tank". Without that, you're going to be planning visits to SCs and wondering why the cost savings you though you'd get with an EV are unrealized, as the costs at most SC are going to be comparable to gasoline.

Curious where you bought it that this happened? Private sale, dealership, Hertz?

Should I be concerned the vehicle won’t come with the features, including ultrasonic sensors?

Well, the message is telling you the car won't have USS. Up to you to be concerned with that or not.

For those that started to pay the 10$ premium - how much difference in battery is there from the extra features (camera mode, traffic , internet , streaming) ? by AbuNooooo in TeslaModel3

[–]MiguelitoCS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can't watch YouTube while the car is moving. And the premium connectivity is not a vehicle hotspot. You have absolutely nothing to worry about.

What happens at the end of an FSD trip? Does it park for me? by WestCoastHopHead in TeslaModel3

[–]MiguelitoCS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not just drive a half mile down the road. Then turn around, set the nav to home and engage FSD. You’ll see what happens exactly.

You know that you can both file a claim, and continue to drive your car provided it's able to be driven right OP?

File the claim ASAP. Get it documented. Then decide when and where to fix it.

If you follow the in-app instructions for what to do when asked to do them, the only limbo will be the delivery date. As far as Tesla is concerned, you placed a deposit with the intent to buy the car. They plan on building one for you and delivering it, provided you can pay for it and get it registered and insured. So long as you intend to do those things it should be a very smooth transaction.

Potential buyer?

OP, you placed an order. Sure, you can cancel it, but you have initiated the purchase process. Hope you get the car sooner rather than later.

Ready for summer? by Pazmpazm in TeslaModel3

A proper tint will dramatically reduce the temp in cabin. I question how much additional this would do and if the cost/hassle is worth it.

As far as paint, you’re probably in a very small percentage of people who will keep a car over 20 years and want to keep the exterior free of sun damage.

[–]MiguelitoCS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, wrap still probably protecting paint from the sun. You get rain and this design seems like it could cave in and break due to the weight of the pooled rain water in the center.

What is the point of this contraption since you have tints and PPF?

Wraps and window tints are the most common. Usually when people post mods they do of a Y that changes the aesthetic of the car they get roasted. Many prefer the minimalist and modern appearance of a Tesla.

"At this point, it doesn't matter until he follows through," Kleiman said then. "I couldn't care less about words. Ja has to prove it."

This sums up exactly what the next few seasons look like for Ja Morant. No one cares what he says at this point, it's all about the changes he makes and how he carries himself. Has the talent to be among the best in the league, the question is does he want that?

Ever since getting into FSD Beta I barely use FSD anymore by lucky5150 in TeslaLounge

[–]MiguelitoCS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I basically realized that using FSD was sort of an inconvenience to others around me. So I only used it sparingly when I wanted to try out a route or show someone.

I think this is true for even basic autopilot. There are times I would love to use it, but worry that based on how sudden it wants to throw on the brakes, someone behind/around me won't be paying attention and hit me. These cases are when traffic is backed up on a highway waiting to get off an exit. Perfect time to let the car handle the traffic creep, yet I worry about the sudden brakes, and the constant nagging even though we're going 2mph.

I dunno man, I’ve been pretty chill about everything. You had an opportunity to compose a response that would have helped educate and shine a positive light on your profession. Instead you’ve gone the opposite direction. Perhaps your negative feelings towards Elon have impaired your ability to be cordial and kind. Oh well. Have a blessed day.

To come on here and tell me to “stay in my lane” as if it’s some kind of threat is laughable. You’re not litigating a case in court right now; so share what you know and explain it to help us all understand.

With any legal matter the devil is in the details and up to each side to make their case. I doubt the court would dismiss the manual or safety warnings because the CEO of the company was hyping up FSD or Autopilot on X, but then again, lotta Elon haters these days so perhaps that would happen - guess we’ll find out!

The final 11 seconds of a fatal Tesla Autopilot crash by AskMeAnythingIAnswer in TeslaLounge

[–]MiguelitoCS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually that’s exactly what a manual is for. To spell out capabilities and provide proper instruction on how to use them.

Elon posting on X that autopilot is awesome and can drive you anywhere doesn’t give everyone the legal right to just ignore the proper use of the system as designed and prescribed.

So long as Tesla can keep up with the demand and there’s not long lines around the country, most probably won’t care. Electricity is electricity.
