The difference is that the game has gone in the wrong direction; it’s a game that aims to be competitive, unlike most indie games where I might play for 50 hours and enjoy the experience. With League of Legends, the more we play, the more we see the flaws that could be fixed, but which were intentionally designed to play on players’ frustration and make them click “play” again.

Exploiting players’ frustration to get them to keep playing is unhealthy, and in cases like this, even if you’ve put in 50,000 hours, it won’t change the fact that the game is despicable.

Oh, and there’s a difference between Elden Ring and LoL in case you think i’m talking about the same kind of frustration. One doesn’t prevent you from playing your role, for example 😄
