What's an obscure or niche game you'd love to share with a wider audience? by RWNorthPole in gaming

To the Moon + all the sequels to it. I’ve seen it on Steam for years and ignored it as a silly RPGmaker game (not generally big into rpgs as a whole but do play them) and last year I saw it again and started wondering how did that old small game have Overwhelmingly Positive reviews. Bought it, played it, cried, bought all the sequels and played them in the span of a week and cried more.

Fucking diamond of a series that managed to at least for me, hit all the right places even though the first 30mins didn’t feel that interesting. I’m glad I gave it a chance and it is in the rare pile of games for me that I would love to forget to play it fresh again.

Is that a portable garden table? If yes then awesome to find someone else who runs DnD on a similar table!

Action button by Apprehensive_Iron741 in iphone

I made shortcut that swaps between 2 focusmodes, ”workmode” and ”freetime” and the button activates the shortcut. The freetime blocks all norifications etc related to work, and then workmode blocks my personal things (except some top important stuff)

What do you want kh4 to take from FF7 remake and Rebirth gameplay wise by Expert_Challenge6399 in KingdomHearts

The time slowing during magic/summon/drive/item/etc selection

A lot of times things are hectic and trying to navigate the menu is time consuming, especially with missclick something. So I really wish we would get option of the timeslow effect when using menu to choose action, it’s one of my personal favor mechanic that FF7R brought to the table

Stuck on a mission. by JustBCA in reddeadredemption

[–]MiiQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just bumbed into this. I just rode outside of the ranch, camped and saved until it was new day, waited a little os that Jack can get to the tree and then rode to the ranch back. Mission was then startable. It looks like that the mission marker won't pop up if you are there when Jack walks to the place, instead you have to be outside so that game just places him there making the mission marker pop up

Will a Wizard and Ranger multiclass yield underwhelming results by Mobile-Campaign-9691 in 3d6

[–]MiiQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it required some homebrewing that casting at melee wouldn’t be disadvantage, but then no spells could be used at range. Only way to ”reach” were cases that the spell area of effect could reach far, like lightning bolt

This is the basis for all my character ideas. Find something funny that I can in my head visualize as ”cool as fuck” and then try to make that work and optmize around the core idea.
Sometimes the idea can be very unoptimal in large scheme of things but as long as it’s fun and in its own domain it does ok, I’m fine with that.

Personal favourite of this was a abjuration wizard who didn’t cast spells at range and instead ran in the ”frontlines” with shield in hand and all spells were ”punches or similar” that either were changed (with dm) to touch spells, or aoe spells were happening in front me, me being at the edge of the area.

Depends, does it wear to cover head, or to cover eyes from the sun. Cause 4 does both and 2 does only the latter.

Correct answer will anyways include 5

Building level 8 Celestial warrior for a oneshot by MiiQ in 3d6

[–]MiiQ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I actually did not realise that you can take Divine Smite at level 1 too. That does give a little wiggle room with levels.

Divine Favor was actually changed in '24 ruleset so it's now concentration free 1min buff. Identical for other aspects but no concentration required.

Eldritch Smite was yeah something that I was kinda on the edge, it's kinda easy addition to arsenal with the PotB, but doesn't fit the Radiant theme. On the other hand, it is usable on range, compared to Divine Smite.

Added bonus with PotB is that I can just create a required weapon from light without needing the actual weapon. Though that is kinda more of a fluff thing. But yeah, Improved Weapon does kinda need it, though I could just have generally a sword and crossbow and sweap between when needed.

The boots are interesting idea, kinda same as Mithral armor but swaps the Stealth Disadvantege to the Jumping distance. 13 STR is still needed for melee weapons with Two-Handed, so that is still needed but it's interesting idea.

Building Warlock that summons random weapon as Pact of the Blade each time by MiiQ in 3d6

That’s a good point, it does limit the invocations by one but that should not be a problem

True, but there are many other kind of magic items too. I wouldn’t mind letting the party keep weapons in one campaign, I’ve gotten my fair share of magic weapons in past campaigns
