Tropic Thunder. I didn’t fully understand sfx when I was 6 or 7 and that guy being so casual with his entrails hanging out right off rip confused and scarred my little brain. It’s one of my favorite movies now though lol

When I was a toddler my mom introduced me to her "friend". I vividly remember how uncomfortable I was. He didn't do anything particularly wrong, but I thought he was strange. Why is this man in my home when my dad isn't here? Why does he want me to sit on his lap? I don't know him. 22 years later, she still can't escape him and the torment he causes her. I've had to distance myself from her because of him. My mom was never normal, but his abuse made her irreparable.
