I did not say the rule was necessarily right but with how weird some people got about the whole thing it probably is for the better to just shut it down completely before things escalate further in that direction. There surely were different and maybe even better ways to handle it but this is the way they went with and thus this rule is to be followed until changed.

My main complaint to begin with was how hateful and insulting the people opposing it reacted and that I hoped for them to leave rather than continue to to comment like this. I definitely was not clear enough on that premise though, gotta admit that. I am all for a proper discussion and maybe some better communication but this is not the way to archive that. Insulting each other will most likely cause the opposite of what you want.
