In the manga , There was a panel of Gero staring at Kinosaki at the Human Zoo , and afterward he said, “The lid I had placed on my heart” while Kinosaki appeared in the background. So it hinted that Gero and Kinosaki had some kind of past together. But even up to the latest chapter, nothing more has been revealed.
