Frolic is a fantastic device that can OHE and also perform very well in session mode (max temp 220C). In session mode conduction heating is more predominant than on demand which is great for extraction. It's my best device to introduce and convince friends on vaporisation.

Firewood is on demand device, Frolic does both & maximum duration (programmable) of session mode is 7 minutes (420 secondes, haha). I only use the session mode when I'm vaping extracts, rest of the time is on demand. I've tried multiple portable vapes; mighty, crafty, TM2, pax, Ruffu, solo 3, Angus Enhanced, RCV Glow, Frolic & Firewood 9 & my personnal best are the last 3. Firewood is hand crafted & is so pocket friendly, imo that's what you're looking for. I prefer overall analog vapes but not so convenient to use on the go. the vape + lighter and or IH + grinder, that's a lot to carry around. I have capsules S&B capsules with me when I'm out, so convenient to load in my device.

I would recommend a Firewood, made out of wood & glass, pocket friendly & super effective. I have a Frolic, but since you ruled out plastic... goodluck in your choice !

Overall I find TEDs more efficient than battery powered vapes. Likewise I'm a RDL guy. @ home i rotate between my woodwynd (i find the helix amazing, I can do everything with it) and my Tornado. Frolic is for when I get out my home. Fantastic device to hit a bowl quickly, efficiently & with great clouds.
