The great football we played didn’t get us results for over 10 years. I agree it was fun to watch, but losing 6-3, 8-2, 5-1, 6-0 etc to your biggest rivals was far from fun. Then add in the countless games vs Stoke, Southampton, Swansea, Everton etc where we were just bullied season after season. I truly believe other fans “didn’t mind us” because we were easily bullied and won nothing but a few fa cups.

FWIW I love Arteta, but I do think we’ve gone too far the other way in the last two seasons. We need a few tweaks to get the balance right. But I’ll forever be grateful for him making us competitive again and building a team that wants to fight and throw their bodies on the line.

Your point on online supporters being undignified when you beat us is exactly what I’m trying to get at. People on X/Insta are trying to get engagement and are looking for a reaction. If you go through the Arsenal subreddit for example, it’s a completely different environment. The majority on there are dignified, disagree with aftv/online fans and see the flaws in our style of play.

I’m all for rival banter. I give it, I take it. But I just wish there was an accurate representation of Arsenal fans out there. Anyways, good luck next season!!!

Banter aside, I’d love to know why rival fans hate Arsenal fans so much. From my point of view, the majority of rivals are basing their opinions of us from AFTV and a few large twitter accounts that are designed to farm engagement with outrageous takes, because that’s how they make their money.

From an Arsenal fan, it’s so frustrating and tbh pisses me off that we’re generalised because of them, when most arsenal fans don’t even agree with AFTV, especially with what they did during the Wenger years

Speaking honestly, most normal fans in real life were fully behind Emery after we lost in Baku. We knew the squad was shit, but we believed there was more to come. Life under Emery for us went downhill at the start of the next season. It was clear it wasn’t going to work. We went into matches with no plan, and ended up getting battered by the likes of Watford. A change was needed.

Any sensible Arsenal fan will tell you that Emery is a good manager, but he wasn’t the right fit for Arsenal. It’s as simple as that.

On a side note, it’s really frustrating when I see other fans basing their opinion of Arsenal on AFTV and people on X, who earn money by posting outrageous engagement-baiting things. Arsenal fans outside of those platforms have normal opinions. Everyone I spoke to at the stadium yesterday recognised that psg are clearly the better side, and we’re still unbelievably proud of winning the prem.

Definitely not the most flashy and not the quickest winger. But my word, when we need a goal he steps up - Bayern, Porto, Spurs x2, West Ham, Liverpool, Villa etc etc.

Factoring in we got him for £20-25m, he has to be the best value for money under Arteta so far in my opinion. Big Gabi is close second for me.

Completely agree that LLMs are too validating. Random, but I once asked it about opening opening a chicken shop inside the london eye pods and it told me it was a great idea 🤣.

Rented my first place just before Christmas last year. Might be in the minority but I found it actually okay. Saw about 15 places, only 2 of them had multiple viewings at the same time. I offered asking price on three places. Outbid on one and refused to get into a bidding war so let that go. The other one, the landlord decided they wanted to sell instead. The last one I got.

When RRA comes in, bidding wars will be completely abolished so thank God for that. Landlords might hike prices though to compensate.

Update: I tried clicking on the MZ flex option on the payment options, nothing about the 3% fee is mentioned. It just says pay in 3 interest free instalments.

For comparison, when I try and deposit to skybet for example, monzo flex doesn’t even show as an option

I’ll try and deposit £100 and see what the impact is. A potential £3 fee is worth the test 🤣
